as for the rest of the card, who do you like the look of ?

Barnett vs Rogers ? is there even a chance for rogers here ? ive not researched things but everyone is saying barnett will own ? im going to research soon on this one

as for the rest of the card i have no idea

Is Overeem the lock of all locks here ?
No. Overeem can be knocked out, or submitted, and anyone acting like his transformation as a heavyweight stops this from happening is dreaming. That said, I definitely favour him against Werdum for reasons I've pointed out in other threads.

Barnett vs Rogers ? is there even a chance for rogers here ?
Sure. Rogers is more skilled standing and in the clinch than people give him credit for. Might only take one snappy punch from 'The Grim' for Barnett to hit the deck.

    Cormier vs Monson
Cormier will be heavily favoured over Monson, and rightly so. Hell, I'm surprised that Monson can fight at all. Outside the cage, he's barely mobile and obviously in loads of pain. He can barely sit down on his own due to back injuries.

    V Overeem vs Griggs
I definitely like Griggs on the basis that he hits like a truck and Valentijn has pretty much zero willingness to fight after getting punched in the face.

    Noons vs Masvidal
I favour Masvidal because of the wrestling advantage, though his continual lack of strategy gives me pause. He probably would have beaten Paul Daley if he had chosen to take him down in the third round, but instead he chose to box. That alone ultimately cost him what would have been the biggest victory of his career.

That said, he's still an excellent boxer. Even though Noons is better on the feet, he also has a tendency to get tired and lazy. If Masvidal wears him out early on with wrestling, he's definitely good enough to hang with him on the feet in the later rounds. It's just an issue of implementing the correct game plan.

Who do you think will come out as favourite in the noons vs masvidal?
probably something like... +105 mas, and -120 noons?

I would jump on noons as a dog. Noons is not easy to take down, and Masvidal is far from a point/decision fighter.

Not sure. Wouldn't be surprised to see either as the dog, though I'd probably take Masvidal up to about -140 because he can definitely win if he fights smart. Even if Masvidal can't get Noons on the floor early, he can still wear him out by knuckle-dusting him up against the cage. And if he can bring it to the mat, he probably won't have much trouble controlling Noons on the ground. After all, Conor Heun did it. Five minutes of that and we'll probably see Noons' output drop. The biggest liability in his game has always been his cardio.

Of course, all of that depends on Masvidal fighting intelligently.

Wow. Apparently he's not the brightest crayon in the box. I think Kimbo needs a new protege.

I'm curious what the griggs/old reem line will look like. I think griggs should own, and if lucky I think he will be under a 2-1 favorite... Probably the only str8 play I like at this point... OTher than that, there are not many str8 plays I like on this card. I'm tempted to bet alistar, but too heavy of a line imo...

overeem 2.0 should destroy werdum, but werdum seems extremly confident he will win. great card tho
