    UFC 131 Picks?
    JDS VS. Shane Carwin

My bet: Carwin Tko (abit of a longshot I know)

    ---------------------------------------------------

Jon Olav Elinemo VS. Dave Herman

My bet: Herman (not sure if I'm going with decision or tko yet)

    ---------------------------------------------------

    Vagner Rocha VS. Donald Cerrone

    ** Not sure yet **

    ---------------------------------------------------

    Kenny Florian VS. Diego Nunes

    My Bet: Florian via decision

That's all I've got so far. What are your picks? Comments (good or bad) about my picks are appreciated!

I'm going to be going big on Dos Santos Inside the Distance as soon as Bodog releases that prop.

cerrone -400 is a little too steep for me.

einemo +200 seems way off. herman looked horrible against nakao on new years.

i'll be playing florian big, and expect him to finish.

First fight at a new weight. Nunes is no joke. Could easily be undefeated because of questionable judging against LC Davis. I wouldn't go too big on Kenny.

I would never "go big" on a heavy weight fight that dealt with Shane Carwin. You have no clue what can happen with him in this fight!

Yeah Herman is pretty old to, but Elinemo hasn't fought since 2006?

I favour Herman, but keep in mind that this is a guy who gassed out and blew it against Mu Bae Choi. It's very much a winnable fight for Einemo. That said, if Herman is even remotely focused, he'll stuff Einemo's takedowns and whoop him on the feet.

Einemo has been training training kickboxing for a few years with the likes of Alistair overeem and gokhan saki. He probably has a very decent standup now if I have to believe some guys on sherdog.com. I would pick him. Als line opened up at +110 and now is at +210.

                      Here some footage

Carwin Inside the distance would be better in my opinion. I think if it goes the distance Dos Santos should have huge edge in later rounds. Carwin seems to go in looking for the kill early.

Would I still be correct on my parlay with that bet if JDS won the fight in decision?

Word, nunes is off now unfortunately, and I was gonna make a nice play on him. He opened around +240, seriously undervalued imo...

My favorite play on this card is a str8 moneyline play on Munoz. He is lingering around even right now, although I have a feeling he is gonna be more heavily favored in the next few days. I am gonna stack on him I think, still not sold, but I am gonna do more research before I make a play. He is a steal at even to -150 imo.

Maia will be knocked silly on the feet I think. Munoz continuously improves his stand up, and learns with some of the best strikers in the game. The only way this fight goes to the ground is if munoz wants it to, and it will be on his terms if it goes there. If maia pulls guard I think mark will smash through it and muscle out easily. I can't see maia working his jits because mark's wrasslin' will keep the fight where he wants it. This will be on the feet the whole time and Maia will be outclassed imo. He has little power, is a bit flat and I'm not sold on his chin. I don't know if he can handle mark's power. Horrible, horrible style match up for maia imo ( and I hope it doesn't sound like I am wrecking on maia, the guy is A level but not in this match up). Mark has never fought a guy who can roll like maia, but again, he doesn't have to play that game unless he wants to.

Stout beating Yves is my bet on this card.

Lots of good fights at odds close to even, though.

But I am only putting money on Stout. This fight will be on the feet, and even though Yves is one of my favorite fighters ever, Stout will win. Good odds, I am big here, not spreading money around. Simply maximizing the fight I feel the most confident in with intention to make a solid profit.

I'm not betting much on the TUF finale.

                                          Good luck to all.
