Who do you guys like in this one? Should be a very close matchup, but Rashad will probably pull it off since he's more polished on his feet. I'm pretty sure their wrestling cancels out here. I really hate that Bones had to pull out, but this fight will be much closer... just hopefully not a snoozefest.

this fight boils down to whether davis can take rashad down. many people have pointed out that davis had trouble taking down lil nog, so they assume he wont be able to take down rashad and that rashad will win the stand up en route to a decision. i dont necessarily think this will be the case. i think davis' wrestling is a notch above rashad's and will be able to take rashad down and control him on the ground. i'm leaning towards davis by decision.

if aggressiveness carries as much weight as it has recently,i think davis` length and athleticism will carry him....

rashad is just way too economical with his offense....he goes long stretches doing absolutely nothing but posing...

I still recall Rashad's troubles with Sean Salmon and Tito Ortiz and don't think I could take him. On the other hand, Davis has the credentials, but hasn't had the greatest MMA wrestling. I'm not feeling this fight at all from a betting perspective.

Rashad evans wins on the feet, Phil davis will have to take rashad on the floor, something he had huuuge problems with regarding his credendtials, against gustafson, and nougeira the first, and if i dont remeber half secound round. Rashads takedown defense is good, but he is also much quicker then nogueira and gustafson. On the feet his hands are not that bad, while phils is still a bit, unpolished. If this was against ryan bader, i wouldnt bet on it. I would be very very surprised if davis can pull this one off. This would be an huge upset in my opinion.

As of right now it seems to me that Evans is the better wrestler and has the much better stand up as well...I see -115 both ways right now at 5 dimes and that seems like a very good bet to me for Rashad...I mean I know Rashad is coming off a long layoff here but hes clearly better overall IMO
