    Toney +500?
    Why? How is it +500??

Couture lost to Chuck Liddell, when he was a younger old man. I know I know, Chuck had a wrestling background. Chuck was successful in takedown defense and striking. Allegedly, Toney has been training in this for 9 months.

    Couture is 47.
    Couture just made a movie.
Toney is the BEST striker to enter the UFC.

How can a 47 year old man, who has lost to a striker, be such a heavy favorite against the best striker to step into an octagon?

Sure there is a chance Randy takes him down and beats him up. There is also a chance Toney knocks him out.
A person who is 18-10 should never be -700.

tell me why this line is right..

The line is right because Couture is a world class wrestler and Toney has never wrestled before in his life. Nine months is nothing and the line should probably be higher. I'm not saying a small play on Toney is bad, but the line is correct.

couture maybe be 47 but he has far less mileage on his body and is in much better shape than toney.

Striking and Boxing are 2 very different things. Toney is prolly going to find that out pretty quickly. Totally different stances, leg kicks, defending TDs, clinching, etc, etc. Toney is the best boxer in the UFC. He's not the best striker. And thats just what he has to worry about in the standup - I wont even bother touching on the ground game lol.

Comparing James Toney to Chuck Liddell is like comparing a long drive champion to a PGA tour champion. The long drive champion can sure hit that ball pretty damn hard and far - he's amazing at that one aspect of his game. What about the rest? Who would you take in a 18-hole round of golf - The long drive champion at +500 or the PGA tour pro at -700?

Toney has a punchers chance, no doubt - but thats all he has. If you think its worth a shot taking him at +500 on the chance he clips Couture just right as Couture comes in for a TD then go for it. I personally see no value in either guy at these odds.

Couture is 47 and a physical specimen. Toney is 42 and fat.

Couture hasn't had problems taking down wrestlers. He took down Lesnar. Lesnar is much bigger than Toney and comes from a wrestling background. Liddel might be an exception, but his wrestling is so many levels beyond anything someone can learn in 9months. Toney's training isn't 100% focused on takedown defense. If Couture manages to grab Toney the takedown will be effortless. Toney's got a punchers chance and that's it. The punchers chance may be worth +500 because of Couture's questionable chin, but thats really all Toney has to offer this fight.

Yeah and Couture has already said he's not going to screw with Toney's standup

I don't see how Toney can land anything significant before Couture takes him down.

+1, except that a small play on Toney is bad IMO. Toney should be at around +900, and even then I'd have a hard time betting on him.

i give toney zero to no chance in this fight.... the only boxers that i think have a chance in mma are quick and shifty fighter that can use there hand speed, head movement and and overall piter patter style...
