GSP's last fight was way worse than anything Fitch has done. Fitch has a good strategy, does decent damage and tries to get submissions off whenever he can. I'm a huge fan of his. It's not at all like he's just trying to hold position. He goes for everything he can and I believe was looking to finish Alves that entire fight. He pretty much let Alves back up a few times so he can get in a position to GNP more or in a position to try for a submission.

Boring or not he does win fights I think he is a better 5 round fighter rather than 3 round fighter.

i can agree with people who say boring or not he wins. but if this was a street fight, that is one thing. this is a show that people pay to see. When it comes down to it, we want to see exciting things happen.

leben may never be a champ but he puts on a show every time. Fitch is comfortable winning, and not even worried about any fotn or finishing bonuses

Fitch may be boring to some people, but he gets the job done. Saying he's comfortable winning and not worried about finishing couldn't be further from the truth. I don't think he played it safe. He did everything he could with his skill set to finish the fight. Obviously he can't go in there and start a striking battle because he will probably lose and it wouldn't even guaranteed a finish. What does everyone want him to do to be more exciting? He's pushing the pace the whole fight and uses all his skills. The only way Fitch would be able to put on the exciting fight everyone is talking about would be to lose by taking a beating or fight someone useless. GSP is on the same boat. What is he supposed to do stand up and trade with everyone? What about Anderson's last fight? Obviously he shouldn't have been running away, but should he be obligated to engage Maia on the ground?

Wrestlers need a break. If you don't like being on the ground you have 2 options, don't go there or get up when taken there. It's very simple. If I were to blame someone for Fitch's boring fights I would be blaming his opponents. Also on a side note, the last person to finish Alves was Fitch and Fitch is the only one to have ever TKOd Alves.

I love watching GSP beat up wrestlers more than strikers so I dont mind seeing them fight again. Fitch will be ruined like Mir is with Lesnar because no matter what he does GSP will always be better than him.

I'm all for seeing new people fight GSP, but if these people cant beat Fitch they're wasting there time. Fitch has been clearing the division for a long time. There's really no "new people" out there. Only other person is Shields and I'm sure he'll get his shot.
