What is the best MMA bet of the year?
These values are from 5 Dimes.

Gerald Harris -300 against Alessio Sakara in UFC 118 is a good spot.
Jon Fitch -110 against Thiago Alves is also a good spot. Fitch performed better than Alves against GSP.

Jon Jones -650 fight is most likely to win but the value is poor.
The BJ Penn -320 and GSP -450 fights are at a bad spot, since their opponent are strong and value is not worth it.

Any fights that I over looked?

Randy Couture beating James Toney is the most likely to win -- considerably more so than Jon Jones, IMO (although he should also win, of course). But if there's value it will probably be on Couture by submission and possibly on Couture by first round stoppage.

I still think there's good value on Fitch, but there were far better prices out there a couple of weeks ago. I don't think it's worth an all in, but for me it's my biggest play for 117 for sure.

just a few days ago I would have said Salter over baroni, would have ended up being one of the biggest bets I had ever made. Still depressed this one got cancelled.

now he is facing dan miller but I doubt the line will be as favorable this time but ill be on salter again.

Anderson Silva -400, Dos Santos -295,Aldo -550, and GSP -450 are all really good locks.

Nate Marquadt was also a "lock" against Sonnen, as was BJ against Edgar, Fedor against Werdum

The only one of those I'd be comfortable betting is Aldo.

No such thing as locks in MMA. Anyone can lose on any given day.

Exactly...Aldo is super-human, even more so than GSP and Anderson IMO!

you very well might win all the above bets but except for the gsp fight i can see all the others going the other way...

I'm a huge GSP fan and I wouldn't call his fight with Koscheck a lock, nor will I bet him @ -450. I think Aldo is definitely the closest to a "lock" on that list.

Sorry but GSP is a lock against Koscheck i saw the first fight in person it wasnt even close and GSP was fighting safer then even than he is now. Koscheck even said he congratulated him while GSP had him on the ground in the 3rd round and GSP punched in the face. Koscheck said in an interview after the fight.

                                        I don't like Frank Mir.

Fitch defeated Alves. That was the best bet so far in terms of value.
