    Jon Jones next fight
Jon Jones is supposedly meeting Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC on Versus 2.

I'm surprised by that one. I figured they'd match up Jones against a bigger name and someone who's in belt contention. Especially after the beatings he's been handing out in his last few fights.

One last tune up before the big push, maybe?

I don't know. The kid does dish out ass whoopins, though.

Complete waste of time, what a joke. I'm not a huge Jon Jones supporter, but he deserves a much better opponent. Worst case scenario he shouldn't be more than 2 good fights away from a title shot. This fight just seems like a waste.

Poor Vlad, he's not the most exciting fighter out there but he definitely gets the job done as a consistent gatekeeper. I hope Jones doesn't kill the guy.

It is a step down in competition, but Jones is still very young. I hope this is his last tune up fight.

Will be Jones' toughest fight to date IMO, but still not a top 10 guy.

I was hoping to see jones against a top opponent like lil nog or even badder, but this fight is just stupid. Vladimir is 39 years old and is gonna get smashed badly by bones jones. Hopefully I can get Jones at -400 or less.

You can't build hype giving him to people who will expose him! Whos next? Jardine, Couture!.
This is silly and people buy into the hype, this guy is ranked top 5 LHW yet he's never fought a top 15 opponent?

Either way hype doesn't really matter. He's beat everyone in his way and should fight a top LHW, whether he wins or loses against them.

I'm a big fan of JJ. He's such a dynamic fighter and I'd like to see him waltz through Matyushenko

UFC seems to be giving all their prospects easy fights. While it is exciting watching people climb up match by match, it's also very annoying. Brock Lesnar was given opportunities right from the start even though he lost his first fight. Anderson Silva was given a title shot on his second UFC fight. Lets get some of these fighters that have a lot of hype behind them some real fights so we know where they stand. It seems kind of pointless to have -500 favorites in fights, when there's more than enough talent to make closer fights. The UFC has the fighters, they just need to match them up better. In my opinion there are several fights that shouldn't even happen and the only reason they happen is to protect the hyped fighters. Giving these fighters easy wins, get people following them and make the UFC more money. Most of the UFC's fans that are already hooked would prefer having better fights, over watching someone get easy wins and climb up the ladder slowly.
