#72Miller should be a ashamed of taking this fight, such a mismatch! Like someone said on Sherdog radio they should have had him do 10 mins of stand up comedy, would still get his fans to tune in and no one has to get beat upComment -

#73lol! Well supposedly he is going to be co-headlining a June 16th Showtime card vs. Robbie Lawler so I'm sure they want to get his face out there some more before that fight. So far all the casual fan has seen is him getting humped by Shields for 25mins. This will be his showcase fight so they can promote the Showtime card I would think.Comment -

#77I'm a huge Mousasi fan... but am still torn on this one at the moment...
Mo has the size, reach, and (freakish) athleticism advantage. While he is a freak, his striking, albeit powerful, is somewhat sloppy at times.
I feel Mousasi has the technical edge in the stand-up, but one thing I haven't seen mentioned that concerns me is that Mo will have a ~ 6inch reach advantage. That, combined with the threat of his takedowns may be enough to mitigate Mousasi's striking, much like GSP's wrestling deters his opponents' striking (see: completely neutralizing Alves, Hardy, etc).
Now, if/when Mo gets it to the mat, will he be able to keep Mousasi there and avoid a sub, or keep Mousasi from sweeping??? And will Mousasi keep his calm and collected composure on his back like he has in the past with a beastly Mo on top?
Too many damn questions for me right now.Comment -

#79never a bad play when taking Aoki at plus money, i'm staying away from this fight but still can't forget the image of Aoki yelling at Hirota after he rippped off his arm, If Melendez leaves out a limb out Aoki might take it back to JapanComment -

#821.0u Mousasi
*After re-watching some of Mo's fights, I can't say I'm that impressed with his technique and skillset. His raw power/athleticism, reach and wrestling base does pose a threat to Mousasi of course. But I just think Mousasi has more avenues to get the W here. I know Mo is the trendy underdog pick, but I feel a lot of that is based on his potential and not so much based on anything he has shown yet. But who knows, perhaps tonight is his coming out party... Either way, I'm on Mousasi's side with this one.
0.5u Mousasi / Henderson
*I'm a little concerned about the injury rumour, but if Hendo is healthy, I think he takes this one. His sprawl looked proper in the Palhares fight, and on the feet he's got nothing to worry about. I cant imagine Shields lay n praying to a decision here, so his only hope is to pull a sub IF he can get ground control, but even in that situation, I think Henderson is experienced enough to not get submitted.
Not laying much on this card, as I'm more amped just to watch these fights... and my recent run at UFC 112 and Bellator 14 makes me prime fade material ;p

#87i think he gassed or something, after round 3 he just wasnt moving on the ground at all. And, he always been slow to engage people in the standup wars but if there ever was a time too do it, it was round 2 and the beginning of round 3, lawal was done for.Comment -

#88Brooks, you can't seriously think Mousasi won that fight. Thats the reason right there I've said he belongs no where near the top 10 in the LWH division. What did Mousasi do outside of the second round. He had no gas either and no takedown defense. He had no answer for the takedown and barely tried for any submissions. Looked like he didnt care. Both guys looked terrible and would get owned by any of the top 5 LHW's in the UFC. Sad showing there.Comment -

#89Mousasi didn't even seem to care. He easily could have won this fight if he would have put some effort in. He still did about 10 or 20x more damage then Queen Mo. But Queer Mo kept getting all those takedowns.Comment -

#91i never said mousasi won, of course the, fighter A was on top the whole fight theory is going to win.
However, Mo did nothing in that fight. And mousasi could have finished it any moment but for whatever reason he never fired the guns. Either gassed or just doing his normal style.
and this was a championship fight.. Mo didnt win no championship with that performance, look at his faceComment -

because he go TDs all night?
what about the fact he got his ass whooped every where else. and even mousasi "bad" striking didnt look to bad against lawal did it. Lawal didnt even land a clean punch until round 4!!!Comment -

#97I meant to say Sherdog, not Strikeforce lol.
And brooks, I will say Gegard did more damage off his back, but he did nothing in the standup. Mo's standup looked on par and that is saying something.Comment -

#98Hugh, he landed the better strikes in the period he wasn't gassed, which was only for the first round lol
Gegards striking wasn't anything special, only started landing after Mo gassed, and even then the strikes looked pretty weak
like ecco said there wasn't much disparity is striking skills between the two, a dominant striker would have finished Mo in the second or third, had his chance and he choked
both guy's cardio was patheticComment -
