roy would drop him to the ground and then with the help of his huge belly he would splash on top.mir would be laughing so hard that any effort even the slightest would impossible.

That video needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
Mir has since:
-received his BJJ black belt
-won the HW belt
-got in a motorcycle accident
-lost the belt
-got fat
-got in shape
-won the belt
-lost the belt
-got some muscles
while Nelson has:
-won the IFL HW belt
-stayed round

roy has the belly of a champion .mir would be looking at the belly while roy would be focused on getting mir to the ground.once mir falls to the ground and that enormous belly splashes on top its going to be goodnight.

Mir would destroy him on the ground. Nelson only has the crucifix.

Mir vs Lesnar is currently 1-1. The thing about Mir is he gets better every fight and he's always thinking of new ways to improve. I don't have a problem with him running his mouth because he seems to back it up and accept his weaknesses. Lesnar on the other hand is 1-1 vs Frank Mir and has beat no one else really thats significant and he talks a lot of shit. He beat Randy Couture but come on. The difference in weight was like a light heavyweight fighting a lightweight. We'll have to wait and see the Carwin fight though I guess.

He has no advantages except the UFC hype machine behind him...

I love how you UFC nut huggers have no shame about your love for the sweat of Dana's balls.
Fact: Everyone that has seen the Machida/Shogun fight thinks Shogun won, yet everyone thinks Machida will win the rematch? hmmm
Fact: Roy Nelson would have every advantage over Mir, yet morons like u guys actually think Mir would win, how? lol

Rothwell beat Nelson. Mir is kind of a dick but he's actually always looking to improve. i guess from being a commentator for the WEC, he understands the importance of being well versed in the different facets more. he's rededicated himself after a bitter loss to Lesnar and he's become a threat in the HW division for sure.

I actually have no problem with Mir's personality...he's just severely overrated because of his mouth, his two fluke wins, and his obsession with Brock...

Can you really blame people for being a Dana White ball licker? He's an extraordinary business man and does an excellent job marketing his product. If UFC is thrown in our faces all day, how can you expect there to be many backers of Pride?

First,
shogun is not the better fighter, he came in with a great strategy that machida did not expect (mass leg kicks).
shogun even mentioned in an interview that he practiced 1000+ leg kicks a day in preparation
however, you can bet machida is preparing for that now.
i think that shogun won the first match but in the rematch machida will be ready for shogun's exposed strategy.
as for nelson, you are an idiot. mir is bigger, stronger and will KO nelson in a second.

Of course he's a great businessman...look at what he's done, the success speaks for itself, and I definitely don't expect there to be Pride backers lol...I'm just trolling...but I expect people to at least realize that they're delusional if they really believe
A) Brock Lesnar is the #1 heavyweight in the world despite being 3-1 against average UFC HWs. It's obvious at this point that the UFC is protecting Brock from Dos Santos and Velasquez because they know he might lose a fight like that.
B) GSP is the best p4p fighter in the world despite not finishing anyone. He has a more recent loss in his weight class than Fedor, BJ, and Anderson, but somehow he's #1 over all of them despite not finishing anyone? ridiculous...
C) Machida is a lock to win a fight that he already lost (WTF?). I don't know what's more ridiculous...people thinking Shogun lost or people thinking he will lose the rematch based on the fact that "well, he's Asian, so he must be smarter. He'll win somehow." WTF?
D) Fedor, Mousasi, and Diaz wouldn't own pretty much everyone in the UFC. Now maybe Fedor, Mousasi, and Diaz could somehow lose to the #1 guy in the UFC, but they'd definitely own everyone else in their respective weight classes (Cain, Carwin, Mir, JDS, Rashad, Forrest, Dan "the can" Hardy...

Well last time I checked, the Saints beat the Colts, so they're the better team and they won the Super Bowl. If I kicked your ass, I don't think people would say "well, jin's still the better fighter."
Having said that, Shogun winning at LEAST 4 out of 5 rounds in the 1st fight = better fighter.
You lose.
And if you really believe that in Mir's wildest dreams that Mir would KO Nelson, you should just leave this place and save urself the embarrassment because according to you, Mir's an elite striker. Is Sherk a great boxer too?

Good points, i'll respond because... why not?
A) That's a good point because Dana may be too much of a business man for the sports own good. Brock Lesnar is a loud, outspoken giant and this makes it easy for the average person to call him the best in the world when in fact, he's far from it. This leads people to cry "wrestling and staged" when things like Machida v. Rua happen and that just may be true. Fedor would crush Brock into a little pulp or do so to his limbs.
B) GSP is not even the unanimous decision for lb 4 lb in the UFC and so I understand Dana, the media and some fans just throwing that title around (even though they shouldn't) to create more buzz since it's too difficult to prove an overwhelming case for one candidate over another.
C) I really wouldn't get too hung up on betting odds, it's just what the public thinks. Just go out and get your $$$.
D) Those fighters would definitely hold their own in the UFC and the sport would obviously thrive if Pride and Dana could get together and have all these fighters in one field for a true champion in each division. This will never happen however because at the end of the day, sports are just a business.

think about what you are saying. is hamill a better fighter than jones because jones lost to hamill? in a rematch, who are you going to put your money on?
the lakers just lost to orlando the other day, are you going to tell me that the magic can beat the lakers in a 7 series because they are now the "better team"? flukes happen, luck happens, and gameplans can make huge differences in the outcome of a match. shogun had a great gameplan. in a rematch, i hope you go ahead and bet shogun if you think thats the right idea. maybe you'll come out ahead like you did with bowles.
as with mir, mir just whooped kongo standing, and i never said mir was an elite striker, he's just bigger and badder than nelson will ever be. i get that you think the ufc overhypes some fighters, and you are right, they do. but not to the level you are making it out to be. pride is over, there are 5 ufc champions and 0 pride ones. pride was great while it lasted, but its done. end of story.

fedor, mousasi, rogers, overeen and diaz can beat down the best the ufc has as far as today`s talent goes.now lets just take a look at the ufcs best guys.the ufc has the slapping mexicquishiner the bruised up tito, the pillow puncher griffin ,big bad country roy the round hamberger man and dana who paid useless tito 500.000 a fight but let dan henderson go who he could have kept for a fraction of that cost .I think that dana should fight henderson.

fedor and mousasi are legit. rogers is questionable. with that being said, overeem has lost to chuck before.... and diaz is a great fighter but he cant hang with the top of the ufc's WW division. fitch, gsp, kos, alves, and possibly even hughes would all whoop him.
as for henderson, im sure dana is regretting that because hendo would have been the perfect fill-in for belfort instead of maia.

After Mir gets a shot at Lesnar his next task would be getting a rematch with Nelson.
