Well, it's gotta be a helluva distraction knowing you were responsible for the deaths of two people. I'm sure he'll be glad to pick up a check in order to pay for some possible legal issues ahead.

          He had trouble obtaining a travel V I S A.

Could be related to his weight miss if he had trouble finding a hotel with a sauna / hot water, healthy food to eat and so on.

              Background

The event will mark the promotion's first visit to Russia.[1] The UFC has arranged to use half of the venue and will be using a modified seating configuration (17,000 seats) for the arena.[2]

While not officially announced, the promotion was initially targeting a heavyweight bout between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabrício Werdum and Oleksiy Oliynyk to serve as the main event.[3] However on May 22, Werdum was flagged for a potential USADA doping violation and his status moving forward became unknown.[4] On July 19, the promotion announced that a bout between the 2001 K-1 World Grand Prix winner and former interim title challenger Mark Hunt and Oliynyk will serve as the event headliner.[5] On September 11, USADA announced that Werdum was suspended for two years due to steroid trenbolone and its metabolite epitrenbolone.[6]

              Rustam Khabilov
was expected to face Kajan Johnson at UFC Fight Night: Werdum vs. Volkov. However, Khabilov pulled out of the fight citing an injury and the bout was scrapped.[7] The pairing was rescheduled for this event.[8]

              Douglas Silva de Andrade
was briefly scheduled to face Petr Yan at the event. However, Andrade pulled out of the fight on August 9 citing a foot injury.[9] He was replaced by promotional newcomer Jin Soo Son.[10]

              Krzysztof Jotko
was expected to face promotional newcomer Adam Yandiev at the event. However, Jotko pulled out of the fight on August 16 citing injury and was replaced by Jordan Johnson.[11]

A lightweight bout between Desmond Green and Mairbek Taisumov was scheduled for this event. However, the status of the pairing is unknown after Green sustained minor injuries in a serious car accident in Davie, Florida on August 18 which left two people dead.[12]

              Cláudio Silva
was scheduled to face Ramazan Emeev at the event. However, Silva pulled out of the fight in early-September citing a lower back injury.[13] Emeev will now face promotional newcomer Stefan Sekulić.[14]

              Omari Akhmedov
was expected to face C.B. Dollaway at the event. However, Akhmedov pulled out of the fight in early September and was briefly replaced by promotional newcomer Artem Frolov.[15] However, after just three days, Frolov backed out of the fight citing lingering injuries.[16] He was replaced by promotional newcomer Khalid Murtazaliev.[17]

Maybe not, but it worried me enough to halve my Taisumov action.

                            Big line movement on Olenik.

Off russians betting their hometown hero?

Gambling is more common throughout asia and europe than it is the USA, which could explain how Darren Till wound up a betting favorite against Woodley.

Mark Hunt fought heavyweights with good submission skills. Frank Mir. Bigfoot Silva. Big Nog. Will be interesting if Olenik can succeed where other blackbelts in BJJ failed.

That could be consistent with Olenik's line movement if its generated by russians betting hometown heros.

Wonder if Fedor being battered by Fabio Maldonado and still being awarded a decision by russian judges will factor in here.

I may be going a bit rogue on this card. Bets haven't been great lately, but my picks have been pretty damn good. Wish I could get them both in line.

Terrion Ware might be a live dog.

Small parlay including him, just in case.

Too tired for this might crash & wait for the next UFC card which looks much tougher than this 1.

Terrion Ware is officially 0-3 in the UFC.

Many, including matchmaker Sean Shelby, thought he won his last fight and is 1-2 in the UFC.

He's getting this 4th chance tonight. Could be live dog despite being +550.
