Just capped this one myself and came here to say the same exact thing. I don’t see any reason to favor Viana 2-1 at all. I think this line is way off. Aldrich has fought better competition by far, she trains in CO with Thug Rose, she’s a BJJ brown belt (even if it’s not as high level as Viana’s purple she’s not gonna make this fight easy for Viana like other opponents have). On the feet Aldrich holds a massive advantage in technique and variety. Plus she fights nice and fluid out of that southpaw stance. Curious where Turbo stands here but I will most likely be playing Aldrich no matter what. She is young and has shown some good improvements recently I think (it’s hard to look that good against boring ass Danielle Taylor).

I used to train at that same gym. JJ is a very good technical striker and decently well rounded fighter. I have not been there in a few years since I moved away. This fight worries me. I was shocked to see JJ has her brown belt. Back when I was training she didnt focus too much on Jujitsu and I havent seen anything about her getting it on facebook but I imagine I just missed it. Tony, the BJJ instructor there wouldn't give it to her without validation though.
I think JJ will control the technical aspect of this fight, I just worry that she might get over powered and taken down. I think the value lies in Viana by submission, but I will be cheering JJ on. Good luck with your pick. I hope you are right.

If you look @ the records of the people Sayles fought and the records of the people his opponents fought there's a lot of stuffed records in there against lower quality opponents.

Moraes should have been the favorite for having faced much higher level competition.

Bookies might have flipped the odds to fool people into betting on the wrong fighter.
