i find this pretty hilarious. rebney made a big stink about how they wouldnt be signing 'ufc rejects', so instead they let legacy fc sign them and just buy out the contract.
LEWISTON, Maine — As the twilight of his mixed martial arts career continues, 39-year-old Marcus Davis has expanded from pure fighter to an on-the-job
Twenty-three-year-old Dez Green, Heyliger’s Team Bombsquad teammate, won the Maine State Lightweight Championship with a convincing second-round victory over Henry Martinez, who until recently had been fighting for the top-level Ultimate Fighting Championship.“I really wanted a statement win, and I felt if I not only came out here and beat Martinez but finished him, that would be a solid statement to let guys know I’m a contender at 155,” said Green. “I’ve been putting in three-a-days for at least the last four weeks with Darrius. A lot of hours were put into this victory.” Green, a former Division I college wrestler, used superior stand-up gamee to put away Martinez at 2:50 of the second round. Green scored an early takedown in the first round, then used his quicker hands to maintain the advantage for the rest of the period. Green continued to maintain the advantage early in the second before using a kick to the chin to send Martinez (9-6) reeling to the cage wall. Green immediately followed up with a series of right-hand strikes and then finished the fight with several more kicks. “I watched one film of him, and I wasn’t impressed with his speed, I wasn’t impressed with his accuracy, but I was impressed with his toughness so I knew he would grind it out, so my No.1 focus in training was being tough and being able to fight for 25 hard minutes if I had to,” said Green. “But fortunately it didn’t come to that.”

lol MMAHour is quite entertaining...Nate Diaz's manager MIke Kogan is on to discuss the whole Diaz "f\*g" tweet and the political correctness of it all etc... then proceeds to use the word "retard" about 20 times and call multiple people "retards"!!! Can see Ariel squirming!
Doesn't sound very motivated, coming from the guy who already seemed mentally weak.
??????? are u being sarcastic? u think he is full of sht?
"Now I realize what it’s like without it," he said. "I don't want to feel that again. I realize when all that’s gone, I was sitting around the house doing nothing. I need to be out there fighting. Now that I'm back, I realize it was stupid of me to get lazy like that, and I think it got me refocused."

Motivated I guess is the wrong word. Coming back from back injuries is a tough job, some guys can do it. This is a guy who has cried to his corners about breaking his hand in between rounds when he in fact did not break his hands. Seems like a recipe for disaster.

Bowles' issues were compounded by ongoing injures. He broke his hand three times. He hurt his knee. He contracted staph infection. He was diagnosed with two bulging discs and two degenerative discs.d
Former UFC fighter Michael Waylon Lowe is suing a Philadelphia-area sex shop and manufactures after he claims a gel burned and scarred his genitals. These aren't the kind of scars you normally get from an MMA bout. A former UFC fighter is suing a Philadelphia sex shop and the makers of a gel he says burned and scarred his genitals. The Philadelphia Daily News reports 32-year-old Michael Waylon Lowe alleges the Kama Sutra Pleasure Balm Prolonging Gel left him permanently disfigured and dysfunctional. He's suing the manufacturer and the place where he bought it, The Mood. Lowe is 14-4 in his professional mixed-martial-arts career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and other circuits since 2006. His attorney, Thomas R. Kline, says he's a man who makes a living avoiding injury and if the product hurts him, it could hurt anyone. "This is a very private, but very significant loss for a man who is very vital in so many other aspects," Kline told philly.com. "This is a man who literally makes his living avoiding injury; he knows how to protect himself. Yet he wasn't provided with the most basic, simple instructions to protect himself from this product. If it could happen to him, it could happen to anyone." Lowe claims he used the desensitizing gel without problem previously, but on Sept. 1 when he and his fiance took a break from having sex so she could tend to their 3-year-old daughter, he "began to experience excruciating pain and pressure in his penis," the lawsuit states. "He removed the condom and his penis swelled significantly. He sought emergency medical treatment and follow-up care thereafter." Kama Sutra Co. President Marla Lee calls the claims "flabbergasting" and says the product's been sold for more than 40 years without incident. The shop's owner says the product is off the shelves. Lowe has not fought in the UFC since a 2011 loss to Nik Lentz. He is 4-0 on smaller shows since then, the most recent a knockout win over Cameron Dollar on March 23 in Atlantic City. With AP
