#72"My mom has a line, sometimes you'll hear people say ‘that's not pretty, that not proper," Rousey said. "My mom's line was, ‘if it works, it was right.' That's all I really care about. It's a fight. If I win a fight as quickly and efficiently as possible without taking any damage than that's the best way to try to win. I don't feel like standing there and trying to go for a roundabout way to winning to try to prove to a couple people I've never met before right or wrong. If I spent all my time trying to do that, I'd never get anything done."Comment -

#83Khabib will destroy Trujillo
i don't get the Trujillo hype he fought one time in the UFC against fukn Marcus Levassuier who has no fight iq and gasses out in the first round.
Khabib will pressure him and take him out of any game planComment -

#98Hendo backers might get +250 tomorrow...no way I pass that up. I agree that Machida has a perfect defensive style for the H-bombs but the payoff is getting big. Hendo could win by dec. too if it goes.
Faber use in pars...gonna use Lawler in different ways...Love Kos but how much is really left in the tank?..No way Stout should be a dog to Fedor...Chiesa use in Pars...Like Levar too.

#99Not digging the schaub play...only play I don't really feel too confident in, but soemthign tells me he'll fight smart and easily expose lavar's grappling deficiency... if barry put lavar in those bad spots, thinking schab can do so easily if he plays it smoothe...but he'll prob come out trying to prove something like a donk and get ko'd ha93022146-1 2/23/2013 0:18 AM Money Line 205.00 50.00 Pregame Sports

24250 Y VILLEFORT -125 for Game
Surprised to see no one taking Villefort.. I'm not one to hype up plays after a few past disasters I had where I got overconfident, but I think ya'll should look into this fight... Na shon's tdd and grappling overall has looked pretty weak against guys who won't have the type of judo and bjj background yuri has... yuri also got some muai thai too... I just have no idea how his chin is, which could be a concern against burrell.. But if yuri also fights smart, I think he can put na-shon down with ease, and possibly get a quick sub..
Before burrel's last fight (which he got absolutely beat down in, you tube the finish if you haven't seen it, one of the worst beatings ever) he had been taken down by each opponent in the 3 previous fights, and each of those fights put burrell in a bad spot on the mat at some point.. I'm tempted not to go bigger on this, but I got burned being overconfident last night with Rad and kind of have the same weird feeling here. But this couold be a breakout fight for a prospect like yuri, and a cheap -125 line might look like a gift in retrospect.
I'm hoping Manly can td and grind neil for 3 rounds or possibly get a sub, but I honestly think neil is gonna win, so only taking a sprinkle on manely, might add a sprinkle more if his lines gets any better.
Been a while since I've paid -400 juice on any fighter, but I really think faber has this match anywhere it goes, and I would set the line prob higher too around -465. Menji could get a quick tko (the fact menji is good at spinning strikes makes me think of faber's tko loss to brown lol), but outside of a flash upset like that I can't see faber losing striking or grappling.
Will be playing hendo small closer to fight time, also hoping stout gets better I think he might have some value if he hits +145ish.

Unless you're some sort of master of finding footage, I have absolutely no idea how you can be confident in a Yuri play. I scoured the net for footage on that fight, found one Yuri fight, where he got dominated by a mediocre opponent, and then saw that all of his wins were against guys with losing records, or who were debuting.
I was originally moderate-large on Burrell, but bought out of it a bit once I saw him miss weight. I was going to go large on him, but my lack of knowledge about Yuri combined with the short notice fight dissuaded me. Is this a fade, or are you betting on pure hype? Yuri got crushed by the first decent fighter he fought, and Burrell went 3-1 in Strikeforce.
Yuri's cardo is atrocious but he has a very clear route to victory, and that's to take Burrell down and submit him in the first round. He certainly has the potential to do that. If he doesn't, however, I fully expect Burrell to crush him.Last edited by MD; 02-23-13, 08:02 AM.Comment -

#103Here are my thoughts on these fights
Lawler is a borderline stiff who will hope to slugg it out with a guy who is dumb enuf to slug with him when he can beat him easily as he beat Daley. No way i could bet Kos at these odds but i do think he wins.
Huge Hendo fan and never bet against him. I like Machida at -200 but not now. Who in the world wants to bet Hendo with a possible bum knee? I just don't think Hendo can catch Machida and Hendo hasn't used his wrestling advantage in 20 years. Just prods around trying to land a big punch. I did take Machida at -210 small but wouldn't be sad to see Hendo pull it out. 1 Machida kick to the knee and this is over.
Might take a shot at Faber. Line is high but i don't see how he losses.
Court Magee should out tough that stiff Neer. Neers last fight i saw a lot of love for him wondering if everyone was drunk making those statements. Neer could pull off a lucky sub so i will pass.
Mike Chiesa might be the worst ultimate winner out there. This guy can't take a shot to the body to save his life but somehow wins. I was al over Miles Jury when these two fought on the ultimate fighter and i still can't figure out how i lost. Jury looked terrific against Michael Johnson yet turtles up against Chiesa. Amazing. That is what i mean about this guy winning. I don't know anything about Anton but if there was one fighter i would bet blindly it would be this guy but i can't let Chiesa take more cash from me.
Schaub/Lavar who in the world could bet Schaub against anyone with that chin he has? Again like Kos he wins this easily with one take-down but this nitwit also likes to stand and bang and this is the worst guy to bang with. Lavar is the quickest tapper in MMA today and that even includes Bob SappHe goes down Schaub wins. They slug it out Schaub gets blasted. I can't bet Schaub when the sheer vibration of Lavar coming after him could possibly stun his chin. Both guys may get cut after this fight. Lucky for them they are heavyweights.
