Yes you need to be verified. Yes its instant. Be careful though they don't like you doing lots of transactions. They banned me for it.

I don't understand how people are able to transfer bitcoin in/out with CashApp. I've emailed them three separate times and they have told me this is not an option for anyone. I can buy bitcoin and hold it in the app but thats it.

Hit bitcoin has option buy sell same screen scroll down see withdrawal bitcoin that’s how I transfer btc out....it did make me verify 2 x once my identity then second my bank

It's the only way I buy bitcoin since I added the app, $10k per week purchase, unlimited sell, and $2k day / $5k week withdraw.

I think you can buy without verification, but you definitely cannot withdraw before being verified so it does you no good to not be verified unless you just want to speculate on price.

You can withdraw Bitcoin, but you can't deposit into the app. Go into the app, click the person icon on the top left. Scroll down and tap Bitcoin, and scroll down, there should be a "wallet" category with a "withdraw bitcoin" button (or verify).

Cashapp is the greatest. I can't believe how much $ in fees I've paid using coinbase the last 3 years.

Cash app sucks would only let me hold bitcoin. Was verified and everything wrote them many times why I can’t withdrawal bitcoin no response. Then I Canceled them what a waste of time.
