#75I agree with much of what you said about Bovada's shortcomings. However their "weird" bonus system is one of the best I've seen from a player's point. It's cash and has just a 5x roll for 100% match. It's easy money especially if you have a 5D account to offset action. And fast payouts are very important if you need to reload other accounts, especially if they too are offering great bonuses.
Great Stuff. Makes a lot of sense...Thanks!Comment -

#76It's a shame, I have been doing this since the English Telebet days in the 90's never seen this behavior. I was always treated fair by them in the past, guess I will have to pull my money out.Comment -

#77A couple reasons:
(a) Liquidity is key for a savvy gambler. The margins are thin, and you want to be able to allocate your funds to the softest and best of spots.
Maybe there's a much softer line at another book. The odds on the Oakland Raiders to win the AFC West right now range from as low as +292 to as high as +600 (I checked half a dozen books). That's an insane gap.
Or maybe there's a high stakes poker game that only runs on Friday nights.
(b) Even the largest books or poker sites can shut down entirely at any time. I lost a fortune from UltimateBet in April 2011. I've been fortunate enough to get paid by every sportsbook, but ya never know.
(c) Other factors, though not as important: psychologically, it's nice to book a win... the principle of the matter (these books make a fortune off people playing online roulette!).... I'll let others chime in because I think I'm forgetting one or two other reasons
Even better stuff. Makes too much sense, therefore doesn't completely apply to the masochistic gambler type...Comment -

#78Lol no.
Average bonuses, average payout, and absolutely terrible, robbery lines/juice. The fact that people still claim Bovada is a good book just shows how ignorant people are. 5dimes.eu has them beat in literally every category, even betonline.ag is a better book than Blowvada lolComment -

#79The bad news is that Bovada has cut my limits and made me ineligible for any more bonuses. The good news is that they just paid me $3000 by check w/I 3 days for free. Good recreational book, but once you're up 5k on them you're considered pro. Fun while it lasted.Comment -

#83I guess they are stalling my most recent payout and hoping I cancel it to dump it back to them. Well it ain't happening, I will have my wife change my password before that happens.
Requested payout early on the 9/29 via bitcoin and still have not received confirmation. 100+ hours and counting on a bitcoin withdrawal to get approved...
Meanwhile, a quick look around internet forums shows players who've requested payouts of similiar amounts around the same time of me and have received their payouts.Comment -

#86I'm getting stupid error / line change messages trying to get a MNF bet to go through, it's frustrating they can't get this crap fixed.
Anyone else getting this error, "The price on this selection has changed to 1.909." when trying to take the Giants +4-1/2 (-105)? I get the error and it won't change or go through, I've tried multiple times.Last edited by 5918mike; 10-03-16, 01:08 PM.Comment -

#88I was also frustrated by that error message that the line changed and I could not even bet at the new line and it cost me a winning bet yesterday but then i noticed if I completely logout of my account and log back in then I can bet. I still think bovada is a good book since they pay fast and offer good bonuses and I do not think they are purposely preventing me from getting good lines with the error message because one of the line changes was in my favor. But they do need to fix this software problem asap. Try logout and log back in if you get the error message and see if that works.Comment -

#92I gotta be honest. I'm usually very critical of Bovada (rightfully so), but this bonus is by far one of the goats. I've hit it for $5900 and just found out about it on the 29th. I wish I had more time to get some more bitcoin. I would deposit at least $20k more if I had more time.Comment -

#94I had a similar experience. Deposit ~7k via bitcoin the past 10 days or so, $250 at a time. Woke up this morning to see this message:
Account Status
This is a quick note letting you know that after careful deliberation and investigation, our Investigations team has decided to remove bonus eligibility from your account. The way the 100% Bitcoin Kickoff Bonus was being taken advantage of is explicitly against our terms of use. We assure you we didn't make this decision in haste.
It looks like they have removed the 100% Unlimited Bitcoin promo from my Available Bonuses, but my previous bonuses are still there. At first I was thinking they had revoked all of my bonuses, but it looks like they are honoring them, and I have lost eligibility for any future deposits. Is this the case? I just want to make sure my bonuses aren't taken away. I don't care about depositing any more, I was done depositing anyways.Comment -

It looks like they have removed the 100% Unlimited Bitcoin promo from my available bonuses, so I can't deposit any more using this promo, however my previous bonuses are still being shown under Dashboard - Manage Bonuses, so I believe they are honoring my previous deposits/bonuses, which is really all I'm concerned about. But yea, looks like they were not going to let you get them for a whole lot, even though they are advertising "Unlimited". You also only have 5 months to clear the bonus or it's forfeited, and they include the bonus in your rollover amount, so it's actually 10x not 5x. If you deposited 20k, you'd have needed to run 200k worth of action through them over the next 5 months.Comment -

It's 5x on the deposit/bonus which is how most books consider the rollover to be determined. If you are only looking at the rollover on deposit then yes it is 10x. Thats blatant abuse if you literally deposited $7k doing it $250 at a time. I'm surprised you didn't get your account closed and funds taken. People like you are why these sites won't offer such generous bonuses going forward.Comment -

Withdrawal just hit my bitcoin account,~106 hours later. My previous btc withdrawals from were 2-3 days. Before the one that came today hit my account I cancelled a withdrawal request that was 2 days in because I didn't need the cash and wanted to take advantage of a line I saw. Now I wonder if that triggered my account as "one more likely to cancel a withdrawal" and put me at the end of the btc pay list. Whatever, I'm done with them and their bush league tactics. Only played there for the poker anyway. Now that I live close to many poker rooms I'm not going to bother with their new poker room Ignition. For sports, I'll use different books.Comment -

The promotion is "Unlimited Bitcoin Deposit" I even called them and talked to 4 or 5 different representatives to make sure what I was doing was compliant, and they all said that I was within their terms and conditions. In fact, one of my $250 deposits didn't register properly and I wasn't awarded my $250 bonus, so I called them to get it resolved and the Bovada rep gave me a different bonus called "Up to $5000 Unlimited Bitcoin" where I could deposit up to $5k to save me the time/hassle. They know full well what they are offering, I could have taken way more advantage of this than I did, it's not that unreasonable at all given the conditions. If they don't like it, then don't offer it. I don't see how you could possibly empathize with the sportsbook in this situation.
With that said, I am not that disappointed that they cut me off; I wasn't planning on depositing any more anyways. I initially thought that they were terminating all of my pending bonuses, which would have really fired me up, but I am fine with their decision to cut me off, as long as they are honoring the previous deposits and corresponding bonuses.Comment -

Why would a book want you to constantly take out your entire bankroll with them... and redeposit for the 100% bonus offer?Comment -

#104Basically this. There is a reason books exclude certain regions from these type of bonuses and it's because some people abuse them more then they should. Bitcoin is the best thing to happen to sportsbooks possibly ever and they all want players using it so they are willing to be generous with their bonuses at the moment. I'd hate to see them never offer bonuses again after this.Comment -

#105Obviously, the reason these books are offering "unlimited" bitcoin deposits is because you can only deposit $300 getting started and need multiple deposits over the course of a month to get your money in. Normally you are one and done. They can't really get any money that way.
They aren't interested in giving unlimited money on the bonus.
Last year, Bovada had a max of $1,500 on the bonus so you are pushing it over that amount. This bonus is a little trickier so they will probably let you put more in though.Comment
