My vote is for Reyes with the Mets. The guy is electric. He does so much for that team that goes unnoticed. Truly a lead off hitter, I think the best leadoff since Rickey Henderson.

#3I will have to go with Jose Reyes myself. He does so much to get his team a run. From golfing a ball out of the park, to stretching out a double to a triple. Stealing bases and that puts pressure on the pitcher, and that results in the pitcher making mistakes and hanging a pitch to the hitter.
Albert Pujols is just exciting for homeruns. After his at bat, he is not much to watch.Comment -

#4Nobody was more exciting to watch than Barry Bonds, but I've always enjoyed watching Andruw Jones. I also love seeing Manny Ramirez. He's so enigmatic and you never know what he's going to do in the field.
Have to agree that Reyes is electrifying but it doesn't make me excited enough to look for any Mets games.
I feel like Albert is an underachiever. If he really cared about being great he'd be using steroids.Comment -

Also like to watch Ichiro Suzuki though I don't get a lot of Mariners games down here.Comment -

#11Santana and Liriano. Man that could be a scary 1-2 punch in that lineup to come for many years. If Liriano can keep this up.
Its going to be like Randy and Curt of the Diamondbacks durning that championship season.Comment -

#12I agree with the guys who voted for Bonds, in his prime obviously.
Right now I would have to go with Reyes or David Right although its hard to argue that both Pujols and A-rod are better overall players, but the question was exciting...Comment -

#27Wow - just trolling, as I watch all Mutts games...
I was hoping someone would vote for Reyes. I'm shocked, but happy someone else noticed him... en masse.
He's the best lead off guy in the majors and watching that guy run on a ball hit off the wall is like nothing I've ever seen.
Not to mention he's raised his avg from sub .250 to almost .300 in 2 weeks... it's really been one of the few treats a Mutt fan gets to see.
Seeing Roid guys isn't exciting at all, to me. Even Turk Wendell vs Big Mac during his 70 home run season wasn't even close (Mac got Pwned, for the record - Turk's slider was just so unfair).
Seriously, though... Reyes is something to watch. Heck, watching the Mutts this year must be like watching the Yanks or the Sox every year... I don't even know how to respond they're playing so well, despite losing so many over their last handfull of games.
Just watching Reyes cut is something special with his wheels.
I'll take speed/defense and/or pitching over roid sluggers any day of the week... They do a LOT more for a team IMO.Comment -
