    5Dimes:
1* Brewers -108 (Bush/Schmidt) - Bush has only given up 1 run in 16 innings at home (0.56 ERA), Schmidt 0-2 on road with an ERA of 4.95; Brewers much better bullpen and lineup.
1* Diamondbacks +113 (Batista/Maddux) - Maddux comes down to earth against the D'Backs, who are laden with LH hitters. Maddux 1-8 career against Zona. The Cubs just can't score right now.

    BetJamaica:
2* Reds (Claussen) @ Rockies (Francis) Over 11.5 -120 - Reds averaging 7.8 rpg in 11 games started by LHPs, Rockies scored 8 in their only outing against a lefty. Claussen's road ERA? 13.50 in two losses. Francis's home ERA is 5.29, and now he has to face the second best offense in baseball.
1* Orioles (Cabrera) @ Rangers (Koronka) Under 10.5 -115 - Cabrera's "stuff" is as good as anyone's in the league. After having control issues early, he has been good recently. I'd love backing him at this price, but the Orioles' offense is without several key members, and they haven't fared well against LHP all year.

I'm a little scared of Batista, Razz, but Milwaukee is only of my leans for tomorrow.

I hear that, and I sort of would lean to playing over as well, it's just that the Cubs offense is in such a funk.

I could only play the Jays - they have owned Boston, and obviously have the pitching advantage - I was hoping the price would be smaller, though.

I'm fading Marquis tomorrow. Looks like his impressive spring is long gone...I'll fade him until gets things straightened out. Plus I see Berkman, Biggio, Ensberg, and Lane have all torched him. Marquis did have their number last year (4-0 in 5 starts) but they (Astros) still batted .277 against him.

Astros ML -149 and the RL +140 both look good to me. Maybe even the Astros run total O 4 -122.

I'll be in Houston for the Cards-Astros 2-game series, so you might want to fade the 'Stros since they've lost a lot with me in attendance the past couple of seasons.

              As for Jason Marquis...

Versus Houston: 8 starts, 2 relief outings, 5-1 with 3.83 ERA, 56.1 IP

In Houston: 2 starts, one bullpen outing, 2-0 with 1.95 ERA, 28.2 IP

Has most of his trouble against the usual suspects: Biggio (.346, HR, 26 AB), Berkman (.563, HR, 16 AB), Ensberg (.421, 2 HR, 19 AB)

Not only has he pitched pretty well against Houston, he hits them well. Overall, he's hitting .444 (18 AB) with a homer and 5 runs scored. In Houston, he's batting .333 with that home run.

I'm expecting Marquis and the Cardinals to battle Oswalt and the Astros very well tonight.

I understand his previous success against the 'Stros but once Marquis gets into a funk I feel you just have to ride it out. Granted...I want him to turn it around but in the mean time I may as well make money off it. I had Marquis tagged as a pitcher to back in the early going but now that he's resorted to his old ways (a little wild, sinker up in the zone)...I'm going against him. Add in the numbers of the 'Stros big bats against him and I'll take my chances.

Have fun at the games...hopefully the Cards atleast pick up one (my guess would be tomorrow with Carp vs Petitte).

No arguments with that theory at all. Long believed that you ride any streaks/funks until they decide they're over.

Well the Cards made that pretty interesting. Down 5-1 in the 7th...scored one in the 7th, 8th, and 9th to cost me the RL. I can't believe how hittable Lidge looks. I hardly paid attention to 9th innings last year when he came in against the Cards. First two batters to face him hit what would have been HRs in nearly any other ballpark but Tavares will able to run down Pujols shot to the grassy nole in center.

Nice win on Houston, I was on STL and thought Encarnacion was going to come through for me, but he got hit. I had no faith in Spezio vs Lidge however and that feeling turned out to be correct, lol.

Thanks...honestly though I didn't have faith in Lidge to get anyone out after he threw one of the best fastball hitters on the Cards (Rodriguez) a fastball right down the middle on a 1-2 (i think?) count.
