    Parlaying road favorites -1.5 with over
    Would this have a positive expectancy? It seems like you could win money betting this every game at books that offer it. And would other related parlays be worth it?

    I guess what you're hoping for is some sort of edge if the away team is favored or wins by more than one run then by default the home team will bat in the bottom of the ninth and game goes at least full 9 innings, maybe extra innings.

    I doubt you would have an edge here. I'd recommend going back to last season and tracking it (if you could get list of previous alternate run line odds, I know donbest.com has archives of old lines). Or track this season, and see what happens.

      It's an interesting thought, and one I have had before. I've done this from time to time in hockey, where I think the edge is significant (in some instances), but I think there is a good chance what you are saying is correct.
