    Poor April Pitchers(2003-2005)
Here are some of April's poor/mediocre starters. Once again,
the W-L are for the team, not the pitcher individually

    Buehrle(8-9 4.37)
    Jennings(6-10 7.13)
    R.Johnson(6-9 4.31)
    Fogg(4-7 5.56)
    Lackey(6-9 6.81)
    Ohka(4-11 4.24)
    Zito(6-10 5.04)
    Mussina(8-8 4.31)
    Rusch(1-5 7.52)
    Zambrano(Mets)(7-9 5.34)
    Bush(0-5 4.97)
    Westbrook(2-7 4.64)

Once again the average ERA for starting pitchers in
April over the last three years is 4.70 in the AL,
    and 4.34 in the NL

C.C. Sabathia has always had slow starts as well.

I don't know, Dan; last two years:

      6 starts, 3-0 record with a 1.32 ERA.

ERA over 4 in April 2003, though.

September's the only month where he has a lower ERA (with more than 2 starts)

RG Harris, welcome to the site

Just wondering where you are getting these numbers? I'm finding some minor discrepancies using the ESPN 2003-05 splits.
