Fantasy League Update

Reminder: Our draft is tonight at 8:30 (ET) - 7:30 (CT) - (6:30 MT) - 5:30 PT). Y'all should be able to 'ENTER LIVE DRAFT ROOM' beginning about 30 minutes prior to start of the draft. For those of you who may not have done this at Yahoo! before, it's pretty much idiot proof.

Once you're in the draft room, you'll see a row of 12 pennant-type flags across the top of the page. This denotes draft position; your team will be the red highlighted flag. If you drag your mouse across the flags you can see where everyone else lines up.

Sorry that I won't be able to be on hand; have a stand-in GM who has been given free reign as far as who he picks for me. Good luck to everyone.

Here's an e-mail I received from Yahoo about our league/draft.

This note is being sent to remind you that your team in league SBR Bases (3653) is scheduled to take part in a live online draft on Mon Mar 27 07:30pm CST.

In order to participate in the live draft, you must have Java installed and enabled on your browser. If you are unsure about you settings, please test your system before the draft begins.

Additionally, please remember that all league information including league members, draft order and pre-ranking information can only be edited until approximately one hour before the draft begins. After this deadline passes, the information locks and cannot be changed.

If, after testing your system, you continue to experience problems while trying to load or run the draft application, please read http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/baseba...eballp-76.html (IE) or http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/baseba...eballp-77.html (Netscape).

Do they allow in-draft trades (i.e. If I get the top pick and don't really want it and let's say I'd like to deal the 1st and 24th picks for the 5th and 20th)?

Have you participated in one of these? Just trying to figure stuff out since I'll probably miss a ton of rounds. Is there a chatroom there during the live draft, let's say, where teams could agree in principle to swap positions, etc.?

Yeah, I've done Yahoo live drafts the last three years.

(The only reason I included the 'think' was that I haven't done one this year, and was covering in case they made that change.)

There is a chat function within the draft, so that conversation wouldn't be out of the question.

No.

You'd have to do that via chat like Winston was suggesting.

Ok cool. I may have a friend log in for me and take over, not sure how much I trust Yahoo, plus re-arranging my whole big board is annoying, would be much better if I could just keep them separately ranked from positions.

After the 12th round, it was pretty much a search for sleepers. It dragged so damn long I didnt even look that long and just picked.
