    Barry Bonds Fantasy Value ?
know this should be a no brainer considering all the guy has done during his (steroid-aided?) career, but considering all of the hubbub surrounding the steroid issue and the book, but the fact that he missed nearly all of last season injured, would you draft Barry Bonds? If so, in what round should you start giving him a look?

I dont think I will draft him , unless he falls to a good value round. Much more out there to draft that is more reliable then Barry Bonds. So depending on how far he falls, then maybe I will take a look at him. But Im sure there will be a few in certain leagues that will pick him in the first round.

I was in one of my drafts last nigh with 10
team and we all keep 5 players. Barry was
selected with 1stt pick in round 10 so he's
      liket #141 .

Will be taking part in a start-from-scratch draft this evening over at Yahoo! and will let y'all know when Bonds slots. It's a 12-team league so the results should be pretty close to how the SBR Fantasy League goes down.

I don't think the book or steroids will be big factors in anyone's decision. Whether or not someone thinks he will play 120+ games is the primary concern.

          Exactly.
Thats my main concern. I dont think he will hold up for over 100 games this year.

12-team league, start from scratch: Bonds was the 8th pick in Round 5.

Since the SBR Fantasy League is the same size, 12 teams, thought I'd give you a look at how my squad came out. I picked third in the snake draft (third in Round 1, third to last in Round 2).

            10 M.Mulder, SP, STL
            11 R.Madson, SP, PHI
            12 K.Johjima, C, SEA

            15 N.Swisher, 1B-OF, OAK
            16 E.Encarnacion, 3B, CIN
            17 B.Wilkerson, OF-1B, TEX
            18 D.Wheeler, RP, HOU
            19 J.Duchscherer, RP, OAK
            20 J.Gathright, OF, TAM
            21 B.Hall, 2B-3B-SS, MIL

Nice team WB. How long did that draft take? I'll be gone from 6:20 to 7:40 PST tomorrow and am putting together my wish list for the first few rounds and the last few rounds. I'll skip looking for late round value if the draft will be done by then, since Yahoo will be auto-picking for me.

It was exactly 90 minutes from start to finish, with 90 seconds the maximum allowed per pick.

I'd recommend you spending a little time today before the draft going in and editing your draft list, at least remove some of the players you know you do NOT want.

How long should my big board be? I got 50 right now, but I'm assuming most of those guys will be gone within the first 10 rounds.

And, how many rounds (players) are we drafting? Seems like we put 15 players out a week to play in the matchup? I understand the offensive scoring, but how about the pitching? Is there a minimum total # of innings required from my staff?

                  Thanks again WB.

Barry Bonds went in the 8th round of the SBR league. So looks like thats the areas he will be taken.
