Who Wins National League Cy Young?
I say Clemens even though he has only 11 wins or so

    ERA is unreal

Roger! And the rest of the team should have the soles of their feet cane whipped for giving RC no run support.

How about we give it to both Carpenter and Clemens. I like the sound of that, both have had exceptional years and they both deserve it, I'll pay for the 2nd trophy.

You have to give it to Carpenter. Even with the Rocket's ERA, he's only got 11 wins because of terrible run support. Carpenter has 19 wins and an ERA below 2.30. Barring September, Carpenter should be the NL Cy Young winner.

Agreed, most writers will look at the win totals first. I know Roger has had no run support, but 19-11 is just too big of a gap.

                "the REST of the team".....

I like how you put that John so very true buddy so true.
The Rocket did his part all year with NO bat help.
A good caining may do them some good.

I think some bettors don't take run support into account when handicapping baseball games. Santana and Clemens both pitched gems last Sunday with nothing to show for it because their teams couldn't score. Run support is what's keeping Ben Sheets from being recognized as one of baseball's elite pitchers.
