    World Series Trivia
Few (brain) teasers for y'all to ponder while we're waiting on this year's Fall Classic to begin.

    1) When the Anaheim Angels made it to the Series in 2002, the 25-man roster they took with them to the best-of-seven championship did not have one player with any previous WS history. Before that, when was the last time a team took a 25-man group that had no World Series experience?

    2) Four pitchers have seen at least 10 years pass between their first World Series to start a game and their second World Series to start a game. Two are in the Hall of Fame; two are not. Who are they? (Note that this isn't 10 years between their 1st and 2nd starting assignments).

    3) Get in your Way Back Machines for this one, boys and girls. Who are the only two players to have been teammates on three different teams that won the World Series?

        No, not the 1969 Mets.

Yes, Roger Clemens is one of the four pitchers to go at least 10 years between his first and second World Series that included starting assignments. Clemens' first starts came in 1986 with the Red Sox, and the next World Series he appeared in as a starter was 1999 with the Yankees.

Guess we're just not in the mood for trivia these days...

          1) When the Anaheim Angels made it to the Series in 2002, the 25-man roster they took with them to the best-of-seven championship did not have one player with any previous WS history. Before that, when was the last time a team took a 25-man group that had no World Series experience?
          1961 Cincinnati Reds

          2) Four pitchers have seen at least 10 years pass between their first World Series to start a game and their second World Series to start a game. Two are in the Hall of Fame; two are not. Who are they? (Note that this isn't 10 years between their 1st and 2nd starting assignments).
Pete Alexander (1915 Phillies, 1926 Cardinals), Steve Carlton (1967 Cardinals, 1980 Phillies), Dennis Martinez (1979 Orioles, 1995 Indians) and Roger Clemens (1986 Red Sox, 1999 Yankees)

          3) Get in your Way Back Machines for this one, boys and girls. Who are the only two players to have been teammates on three different teams that won the World Series?
Wally Schang and Bullet Joe Bush played on three different World Series winners together -- 1913 Philadelphia A's, 1918 Boston Red Sox and 1923 New York Yankees.
