Bos flies into Laa on there longest road trip of the season (the dreaded west coast swing) playing very uninspired baseball going 3-4 up till now against oak and sea losing the last two in sea in disappointing fashion...Honestly to me this team looks out of gas and certainly are not playing sound baseball...

Bucholtz is making his second start off the dl after a ugly 4 inning showing in oak...

Enough about Bos troubles lets talk Laa, like i said Sat night when i played them in there only win against tex, "i do not really like this team" and honestly not sure what the Haren deal is really gonna do for them long term (this is still the rangers div) but do think it will provide a short term momentum jolt that they desperately need after losing 3 of 4 in tex....

Pineiro has been nails at home with a 7-2 record 2.37 era and 1.11 whip, with Laa winning the last 8 times he has took the bump at home........

to me there just so many things pointing at taking a shot on Laa as small home dogs in this spot, so that is exactly what i am gonna do....

looking at a few other games but this is really the first thing that jumped out at me, if i play anything else i will post it throughout the day....As always thoughts and comments are appreciated... gl to everyone

Pinerio has definitely been solid at home and the Red Sox have dropped 4 straight at Angel Stadium. However, they did sweep this same LA team in Boston back in May. Only game that came close was the one that Pinerio did pitch as he got no run support in a 3-1 loss. My afternoon play will be over by this late one so maybe I will play, gonna have to look at it tomorrow. GL buddy.

like it, Red Sox are completely listless right now, and as you noted the other day, Angels aren't good, but Scioscia isn't about to concede the division at the point (a point underscored by the Haren trade).

like the Indians too, but trying to figure out if that's just wishful thinking...

Nice write up. I am leaning LAA too. To be honest, I was surprised they weren't the fav in this game. Piniero has been awesome at home, and the Angels are a much better team at home. This is a play that definitely deserves a hard look.

FTR, it's now being reported that Haren will pitch tonight -- not Pineiro.

I was on LAA last night, Banker, but this makes it a no-play. Too much uncertainty; Haren hasn't exactly been a lock-down ace so far this year.

yea i still lean that way but was much more appealing when they were a small dog....not sure if i wanna pull the trigger w/Haren, gut tells me he pitches great as he seemed very excited to be going to the Halo's, but still makes this more of unknown than it was when Pineiro was taking the mound as ive come to trust him when starting at home.....
