If you're going to tail, at least find your own person to tail. Asking for suggestions like this is not a good way to find a gem. Browse through some season threads (Paco, Shoebox, TodaysAction) for some ideas and you'll be much better off.

Good one.
Or even better: if you see take the opposite

^^^^and how. a true milestone from a band that had a few of them. wonder if there'll be a bona fide Pavement reunion after this fall. i tend to doubt it, but there's always hope. then again, i dig the Jicks so whatever. my 3-year old daughter demands to hear Gardenia whenever we get in the car. it makes me quite proud....

yeah, i'm happy going back and listening to pavement and waiting for new jicks stuff.. their output has been surprisingly good.

^^^^absolutely. from what i understand, Malkmus just couldn't work with those guys in the studio anymore (his lack of patience, their lack of his preternatural genius). i'd hate to see him scuttle the Jicks to give Pavement another shot, and have the reunion end badly. there are worse things that going out on top....
agree re: the quality of Jicks. Real Emotional Trash was my favorite album hands down that year (2008, i think). love the soldier/Wire reference in Baltimore (at least, i'm assuming he's referring to that).

have you ever seen that pavement dvd slow century? if not i suggest you get on that ASAP.
i really can't see the reunion happening. malkmus is too cool for that. i think he knows better.
real emotional trash was awesome.. i thought the first one was the best, though. the only one that didn't really blow me away was face the truth. a little streaky.

^^^^yes, i have slow century. outstanding. the book was a good read, too.
agree - Malkmus knows better, he'd have to be the one to drive it, and the thought of being accused of being a money-grubbing sell-out (something they'd certainly hear) would probably put him off from the start.
yeah, Face the Truth not as stellar as the others - It Kills and Freeze the Saints were both great tracks, but he's set the bar too high for mediocre tracks, and there were a few on there.

the book is really good. gets into a lot of the problems that led to the break-up. it could've been about 100 pages longer and i'd still have finished it in no time. more to it than this, but basically, Malkmus has progressed too far to work with those guys in-studio. that's why a reunion can only work live. whatever, listened to terror twilight on drive home from bar, glad for the amazing fkn sht they did make.
so as to keep things on-point before this becomes the first thread in the SBR music forum, i'm a paduan at bases, but hit 'em well today. 5-1, lurk and tail, some guys i know are solid from CBB. i played (and from memory, tailed):
LAD RL - lotta guys were on this
StL/CIN over 9 - LONE LOSER - played it early based on weather, my own bad
Parlay: LAD/CIN - tailed pair of 5's and somebody else, forget, plus hedge vs LAD getting swept and already had RL
CHC/ATL under - tailed icksy3
no score CHC/ATL - tailed snapstick, tpowell
BALT/TB under - coupla guys were on this
