With the pitching staff the Athletics have, you'd think they'd be contending for the American League West title. Seventeen straight games the A's starters allowed three earned runs or fewer.

Unfortunately, the A's are just 9-8 in those games, including two wins the last two nights over these same Indians.

Tonight I like my chances with Vin Mazzaro, who has already beaten Cleveland once, allowing one run over 7 1/3 innings of a 3-1 victory July 4.

Tonight he gets a crack at a team that has totaled four runs during its current five-game losing streak.

And Mazzaro is a much better choice than Justin Masterson, who is 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA in four starts against AL West opponents this year. Masterson is 0-2 with a 13.50 ERA in two career starts against Oakland.

Play this low chalk, as Oakland will get it done.

thanks buddy. i was taught honesty by my parents. I would NEVER bullshit my record and i wont delete it from my siggy. I know my responsibility on this forum as a senior member (somewhat) and i know people tail or fade me and its important for them to know what my record is. any gambler who doesnt track his record isnt playing this game for real. he isnt serious about it or doesnt face the reality.

You should track for yourself. Serious bettors track there record for years. That way you can look back over the years and see what went wrong and right over time. You can look for patterns of your betting etc. Have fun at the bash Paco. Everything isnt always as it looks or seems.

Then he was banished to the bullpen for two appearances only to be given another chance this past Saturday against Minnesota. The Twins got to him for three runs on four hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Is there any reason to trust Bell now making his fifth start? I sure don't think so and I'm willing to take a nice price on the Orioles to fade him."
