Nice hit. This again is just an honest question.

Why did you wait so long on this play? It opened at 71.5 and I didn't get it until it was at 73, and closed at 75. So you did beat the closing number, but could have beaten it by 3.5 points if you hit the opener.

This thread must be solid given the number of views and replies; you have quite the following. Not starting anything here, that is for the drama queens to do. Just wondering if you are concerned with beating the Market and the closing number or not. Or is there some other factor you use in capping that follows late line moves or money action? I guess I am trying to gain a little insight into your approach without you having to reveal anything that you learned, gained or figured out on your own.

I admit I am a bit obsessed with beating the closing number. I cannot tell you how stressful this week was on the KC game Total. I wanted to bet that Over on Monday, but had to wait until Thursday night to get a more accurate weather forecast. Wanted to get the best number if there wasn't going to be snow and/or wind. So I got it at 41.5, which sucks cause now I'll be stressed at being a half point over the Key Number. Point is I think that Total will close around 44.5 or so.

I know a few people that don't even look at the NFL Card until Sunday. I do the same, but it is looking at the next week of games. I used to wait until the day of a Bowl game before betting it. But now, I bet Hawaii Over, Arizona Over, Syracuse PK and Utah +17 about 5 or 6 days ago. I am waiting on BC to get best number and I think they will beat Nevada outright.

Statnerd, there are many other factors I use as well. I do agree about beating the closer but only to a certain degree. Line movement is important but I don't live or die by it. Game is played in the field, not in the offices of pinnacle. Some games I do put in early if I feel that's the best # I'll get like Cowboys Under I put in last night. Just woke up and posting this from bed so I hope the Cowboys total line move worked in my favor.
