If you're upset that you aren't on the email list then that is understandable but don't ruin it for others because of your hate. You're right that this is freedom and you can track his plays all you like yourself. What the guy is asking in simple English is that you don't post them. Maybe he is superstitious, so let it be. He's asking nicely cause it's his thread. If you want to ruin it for everyone else that aint cool.

#5917Mike, Great pick with the Padres hit for another 10units. Again thanks Mike.
What is this guys problem Cheme82. this is the reason you have to email your picks, I don't blame you. I wish people would work together in this forum it's us against them.(vegas)
I am here to make money not enemies and all this guy is worried about is protecting us from your plays listen I am 40yr old and I'll take my picks from who I want , if you want to track them then track them but keep to yourself don't ruin it for the rest of us. I am not on his e-mail list so I am happy with what I get even if it's only one aday please don't ruin it for the rest of us. listen Piimike never said to follow him and he never said that he is the best capper we just think he is and thats why we follow him.Comment -

#5918That's a nice gesture that you are trying to help others not get burned but if you read the thread from start to finish, he mentions please follow if you like or just don't follow and I am assuming one of the reasons he places Fade or Tail on the bottom of this messages (and notice that Fade comes 1st not 2nd). So he's not intentionally trying to burn people, it's pretty clear. If he decides to go tout let it be and those who wanna pay will pay and those who don't won't.
Ok bro, all I wanted to do was post once a day with the results of his picks, since this has turned into a distraction and the last thing I want to do is affect any profit you guys are making I will explain why I'm doing this and after that I won't respond to any posts about the subject.
A handicapper that is winning at a very high clip will always attract attention. When such capper doesn't keep any sort of records, doesn't list lines on his picks, and doesn't quantify his action that raises red flags in my radar. When an "e-mail list" gets started, sometimes what follows is that only some plays get posted on the forum while trying to direct traffic to the "e-mail list". Then people get defensive about an objective tracker. Put all that together and that usually equals a tout in progress. It's happened at SBR and other forums before, and it will happen again.
I have no problem with someone selling his picks. It's not illegal so why should I have a problem with that? What I do have a problem is with people misleading others and causing them to lose money in the process. A lot of people come in here hoping to find a miracle person to follow into the +, I have no problem with that but I wouldn't want anybody to lose their shirt because of unfounded hype.
If he is indeed a good capper (which I really hope he is) then everyone will know it for sure and we can all beat the crap out of the books (belive me, I will be getting me some pimike's action too).
Hope that was clear.Comment -

#5919Mike doesn't ask for anything, he doesn't charge anyone, he doesn't say he's the best and he doesn't talk trash . He's been here since 2008 and he takes his time and shares his picks with people he doesn't even know. He's not forcing people to follow, misleading or convincing anyone, if you want to tail or fade it's up to you.
He's a nice guy and he has nothing to prove because he's not selling his picks, and those that have been watching him or following him know he's good. Just have a look at his spreadsheet if past picks mean so much to you.
By the way he only started emailing because his picks and discussion are always getting lost in this topic due to all the stupid posts and haters going off topic + the interrogation. You know what, maybe it's better that he emails so not every jerk here can use him and profit off him.
And this isn't coming from the mouth of a leech who tails all his plays, i just think it's cool what he does and i enjoy the relevant discussion which unfortunately is diminishing.Comment -

#5927This thread = LOL
I've just recently been frequenting these boards and I must say this whole thread with people calling Mike out and then his league of followers jumping to his defense is quite entertaining...
So far from what I can tell the guy seems to be a good baseball capper who has followed the game for years and is a consistent winner but all the jocking and ass kissing to get on his select email list is pretty funny. If I was Mike and had all these people willing to pay me for picks because my picks are winners and make them money then I would be inclined to eventually try to sell my picks... but he seems to be happy to give them free for accolades and sbr points so fine, why do people care if this is the way he likes it? He probably makes enough on his own plays instead of worrying about it and just enjoys reading all the controversy his thread causes. Hell I would...
For some reason I really enjoy coming to this thread to sift through 2 pages of BS "can i get on this list?" and "good job" posts to find his daily play(s), and to those who want to track him - if anyone wants to tail what's to stop them from taking an hour to scan through all 170 plus pages and formulating a W/L record themself? Wouldn't any halfway smart person do this...
LOL @ guy trying to post the record after being asked not to though -Funny stuff
So hey Mike, GG today buddy, thanks for the Padres play and good week - I don't know much about baseball so your posts have made me some good $ that otherwise would've missed out on.Comment -

#5931Mike, thanks for the winners tonight. I missed the Nationals +1.5 so it was a 2-0 day for me. Once again you have increased my bankroll!
Now to address the topic at hand. Our bankrolls are the only tracking mechanism we need, and Mike makes them grow with his picks. I want to expound on that a little...
First let me say, that Cheme82 is wise to track Mike, but Mike is absolutely correct when he says there is no need to post the results in this thread. The right thing for someone new to do before "jumping on board," is track the picks so a person knows what they are getting in to. But that is an individual thing that each new person should do on their own. I know for me, I would never start following someone without seeing a track record first. I would never trust what someone else has tracked a person at, either. No disrespect to you or anyone else, Cheme, but I wouldn't trust you to keep an accurate record, and I don't think anyone else should, either. I'm not suggesting you would be dishonest in any way, it's just that we are in a business where a ton of money can be at stake, and it would be crazy to trust an unnamed person on a message board without having total faith in him based on proven history. Those are very rare occasions. The other 99% of the time, everyone should verify everything on their own.
Personally, I believe that the people who hang out at SBR are not as stupid as some of you seem to believe. Those who are following Mike's picks have enough sense to know whether their bankroll is going up or down after playing his plays. If over the course of time Mike was posting picks that cost money because of losses or juice, it would be well known considering how many people hangout in this thread every day. The fact that the only people who are concerned with him not posting lines and so forth are people who are new to the thread should tell you something. Those who have been around since April (and last year, I'm sure) have a track record we can look at--our own account balances at whatever sportsbooks we use provide all the info that is needed.
I also think most of the "looking out for newbies" stuff that goes on here is a total waste of time. I'm sure someone will try to make the argument that picks should be tracked with lines so that someone doesn't come by and put his whole bankroll on a pick because they think Mike is perfect. I say that is useless. If someone will place a large wager of any kind based on the advice of someone that they have not seen proven to be very good WITH THEIR OWN EYES, they are fools, and no amount of advice is going to save them. If you were to "warn" them away from one thread, they would just find another because they are in this gambling thing for the wrong reasons or with some insane expectations.
There are two months of picks found right here in this thread. Anyone who wants to can go back and see Mike's picks, compare them to the lines at the time, and come to the conclusion that the man "is as good as (we) claim." Of course, there are some people who expect him to be perfect, but just like those who will toss huge amounts of money following a pick of someone without first proving to themselves how good of a capper he is, these people are fools.
I would be bet 95% or more of us started our sports investing careers with dreams of how we were going to beat the books and get rich. Easy money, just pick some winners. Then the reality that this is very, very hard set in. That only comes from experience. Likewise, knowing how good Mike is at this (just like other great cappers here with their respective specialties) comes from experience. All the posts and tracking and warnings in the world won't override what we see happening to our bankrolls.Comment -

#5939Why is everyone hating on Chem for wanting to track these picks? What is so wrong with that? Best thing IMO to do would be to start a separate thread and just track it there, that way you don't intrude into Mike's "good vibes/karma". I agree that Mike is doing a wonderful things for us SBR'ers here and that we should respect his wishes, but I don't see why someone can't track. Raises a lot of red flags IMO. If Mike is as good long term as he has been lately then there should be no issues pulling up that winning record for everyone to see. Just my 2 measly cents for ya'll. Peace.Comment -

#5941Can't you just say something critical without being labeled as a hater?
When such capper doesn't keep any sort of records, doesn't list lines on his picks, and doesn't quantify his action that raises red flags in my radar.
When asked about the value of his plays he just said that he posts winners. Now either he just didn't want to answer the question seriously (but why not - it's not a negative question/hating or w/e) or he just doesn't care about that and plays the teams he think will regardless of the line. In that case he would not be a good capper but a very bad one (which I'm not saying he is).
The % of winners is completely irrelevant. If I post 10 -1000 bets and win 9 of them I have 90% winners and still lost money. Conversely If I only win 10% of my +1000 bets I still would end up in profit. The only thing that matters is your ROI.

I will tell you why. In Paco's thread, as soon as someone posts something negative or obnoxious, Paco immediately asks him to cease and desist. If he does not, Paco goes to moderator and has that person banned from his thread. Paco does not put up with the b.s. at all.Comment -
