Why do you leave the same amount of numbers on the line after clearing 4#s?

But you already have enough numbers on your line to cover those 4 plays. Why make the line longer and harder to clear?

In case anyone is following along in real time, it looks like Tampa Bay and St Louis just narrowly missed the cut by going off at -144. Seattle is also close but will probably not make the A bet criteria.
