OVER the Top - July 31
Well yesterday truly was a throw-away day. 0-2, but with the half unit bets it didn't hurt much.

    Mets-Brewers +9.5 (-115)
Caught up in the hype of Glavine going for win #300 is how poor he has been away from home this season. 3-5, 5.89 ERA. In his last 5 roadies, he's given up more than 6 earned runs FOUR times. The Brew Crew is also pelting lefties at home at a clip of .304 and have hit the over in 5 of their last 6. For MIL, it's Suppan on the mound and while he has good career #s vs. the Mets, he's favored the over at home this season 6O/4U. In his only meeting vs. NY this season, he was hit for 4 runs in 6 innings. One thing to watch before making this wager - Carlos Beltran's status. He is questionable at last check

**Flagging the ARI-SD game as one to watch basically because Germano has been getting torched for SD and the total is low at 7. Drawbacks are that Webb is pitching and the Dbacks flat out don't score on the road**

I disagree on this one Mr.Eagles. I think we will see Glavine pitch a gem tonight, and this game will stay under the total.

Sweet. Usually when you disagree, I win more than I lose...or so I have noticed at times.

I agree with this one, although I like it a lot more at 9, where I took it. Milwaukee hits lefties well, but even if Glavine is on, the Mets could well have a strong offensive game, even if Beltran is out.

I'm surprised you don't have the Yanks/Wsox game in here as a promising over. Why not?

I originally had that game as my pick Ganch - but I backed off because as bad as Contreras is, he's been good vs. the Yanks despite the disaster that this season is for him. And Moose has been pretty good at home in his last 5. I won't be shocked if the game goes over, but I also wouldn't be surprised if the total landed somewhere around 8-9 runs. In the end, I just liked the Mets-Brews a tad bit more.

That's a good one, I think, though I'm not on it. I don't see Glavine having any success tonight.
