How do you think the Mets will do this year?

I agree...Their bank roll is not fat enough to buy that depth they need either..

although I am a fan so this may be a bit biased i think Reyes (if he can stay healthy) has a huge year and wright will improve his power numbers back to normal, as long as Beltran can play 100+ games this season and there 2-5 guys and just pitch 6 innings of good baseball then i think this lineup has the ability to win games. The one i am most worried about is K-Rod i mean this guy did horrendous last year just nobody noticed because of how terrible everybody else did, maybe he needs to be on a good team to pitch well! I am all for signing Ben Sheets, i look at it like this, if he gets hurt they have like 5 pitchers who can fill in (maine perez neise pelfrey ) is 4 starters so there fine, and if he stays healthy he can give them a nasty 1-2 punch but as of now i think there an 85 win team, get some good pitching and that can boost up to 90.

Mets are making moves and i wouldn't be surprised if Wang and Sheets sign soon. There are rumours that Chad Tracy maybe an option too. Would be a bad move either.

the gary matthews jr trade isnt bad, it adds depth, beltrans already hurt and pagan is injury prone, if you recall the reason the mets sucked last season was a lot of injuries and no depth on the team outside of there top 5 all stars, so adding guys like matthews and like im hearing a chad tracy etc. may not be big moves but they can end up helping the team

The Mets are a poorly run organization...I haven't seen anything from them that would change my position...Bay may be a nice addition to the lineup but he doesn't bring any solid defense to the table.

yea but dont forget this team has the talent to win the tough division, just every year they find a new way to not do that, maybe this year they wont mess up and reyes wright and beltran can all stay healthy. SIGN SHEETS ALREADY! the mets are a big market team in the same state as the yankees, sign him, if he gets hurt your not making the playoffs anyways and it will be a waste of some money but if he stays healthy he can completely change the team

To many things have to go right at the same time for the mets. Every team in the division will need Phils to flame out just to win the division in the AL East and braves are going to be even better in 2010.
