San Francisco Giant Starting Pitchers / Bullpen

Im a diehard Giants fan watch pretty much every game or have the game running on the mlb at bat radio app. Its been an interesting start to the Giants season this year and im extremely optimistic about this years team. Im seeing glimpses of the 2010 team with their torcher baseball, but im also seeing glimpses of the 2012 team with offensive power coming through. Lets talk pitchers though. Im not going to look at ERA or any other stats im just stating what Ive seen this year so far from all the pitchers.

A- Madison Bumgarner is pitching great, he is a true professional in the game and a pitcher on a mission to winning another ring in his young career. Tomorrow he goes for a W against LA facing a very good pitcher in RYU. It will be an interesting game nonetheless.

B+ Matt Cain is off to a good start, still showing he has command of the ball and playing like a true work horse that he is. He still extremely confident in what he does and the season is young so there is no need for any giants fans to have any panic on him.

A Tim Hudson. Hudson is probably pitching the best out of all the pitchers, what a great acquisition this was. The dudes sinker and command is sick as hell. His experience shows and his next start is against a quality Padre team. He has had 3 solid games this year and is 2-0.

C+ Tim Lincecum got upgraded from a C- to a C+ after his last performance against LA. While he didnt get the win he pitched 5 quality innings and was put in the pressure cooker in his start against LA also and worked out of the jams controlling his pitches very well.

C+ Ryan Vogelsong pitched a quality game tonight after being on a short leash already. He showed up and went 6innings tonight helping give the bullpen some rest and increasing his confidence in his slow start to this year also. Im still optimistic about him this year but have more confidence in Lincecum right now.

    BULLPEN

B- Guiterrez - is coming out of the bullpen playing great

A+ Jean Machi - dude is a beast this year coming out of the bullpen

B Javier Lopez- off to a bit of a shaky start but still extremely quality and proud to have him on the team

B Santiago Casilla- it looks like he is still getting comfortable this year on the young season

A Yusmerio Petit - off to a great start this season, solid longman for the bullpen

TBA David Huff - cant really give this guy a grade yet

A- Sergio Romo has 4 saves this season

Over all Im a big fan of the bullpen this year
