Dan, the analysis is simple. Were a blue jay to fly to Baltimore from Toronto it would be winded and out of its usual element. The landscape would be different and somewhat unwelcoming perhaps. The oriole would compete with the blue jay for vital nutrients and water and would overcome. Therefore, my money is on Baltimore based purely on Darwinian thought.
