    Wtf?
Maybe I've got blinders on, but how can Milwaukee be +114 against the Mets tomorrow. I was expecting even money or worse.

I know they've beaten up the NL Central, but this is a damn good baseball team that is very talented and playing with a ton of confidence right now.

I won't deny for a minute that they've done very well this season. But for one, they're not in the best of leagues and secondly they have been greatly overachieving. They might well win the division but no way will they keep up this winning run come season end.

I can understand the line Senator7. You know the public likes betting those NY teams, so i'm sure they factored that into the line as well. As far as I'm concerned though I can't bet against a streak like there on currently.

Check this one out. Heres an interesting series price on this 3 game set.

      Milwaukee Brewers +140
      New York Mets -160
Heres the pitching matchups in this series.

      Suppan vs Sosa
      Sheets vs Pelfrey
      Capuano vs Perez

Just look at those pitching matchups.

Looks like the public are all over the Mets early so far

      Brewers 6.20%
      Mets 93.80%

I don't think they're going to continue the run they're on, but they are definitely going to win the NL Central and I think they have to be considered serious contenders to win the NL Pennant. That's all I'm saying. Their pitching is solid from starters to bullpen. They play great defense and they have more pop on offense than they'll ever need. This team, regardless of their division, is going to turn some heads and surprise a ton of people this year.

That's what I'm talking about, BBD. +140 with those pitching matchups? I don't care if they're on a streak, overachieving, or whatever. They have the best record in baseball and there's value in that line.

I think this line is fairly accurate. The books have no choice but to favor the home team slightly in a matchup like this.
Guess how many teams in the NL Central had winning road records last season? Zero. In fact, only 3 in the entire NL had winning road records.

As for the game, I don't like it. Brewers are too hot to bet against right now. And I'm not willing to play against the Mets at home either. I see no edge with either pitcher.

I am waiting though to exploit the fact that the Mets are playing .737 baseball on the road so far this season and won't be able to keep this up.

Senator, good to see on the SBRForum again. Always enjoyed your commentary in your first stint here.

I'm chiming in because I do not think it to be a foregone conclusion that the Brewers are going to win the NL Central. While I do think that the Brewers are pretty good, I also think the Cubs are pretty good. I suspect that we'll see these 2 battling it out in September for the division crown. I think the rest of the teams in this division are brutal.

I'll jump on the Brew Crew in this one. The price is right and Suppan has good #s against them.

Thanks Ebone! Glad to see you're still here. Its great to be back.

I didn't mean to say that the Brewers winning the NL Central was a foregone conclusion. I just meant that, right now, there's no one in that division that seems to be able to stop them.

Should be a good game....definitely bet against Ben Sheets tomorrow. Guy is a money burner.

Big Ben and The Crew @ -115 coming off a tough loss and going against a pitcher who's 0-4 with an ERA of almost 6.50?

I may have to disagree with you on tomorrow's game, BB.

Seems like good value with the Brewers tomorrow. I just haven't looked at the game yet to see if I bet it or not. At first glance, it would be the Brewers tomorrow.

i was really hoping MIL won today so that I could bet against them tomorrow but I think I am going to pass today just like I did for this game unless somehow NYM end up like +125 or higher.

I agree with you there, BB. Had MIL won tonight, I probably wouldn't be considering the game tomorrow.
