Toronto starter A.J. Burnett has traditionally been a fast starter, and he has now turned in two straight good performances since getting bombed in his first start of the year.
Burnett’s teams are now 6-3 in his last nine team starts in April, and he has allowed a total of just five runs in 12 innings over his last two starts. He also won his only career start vs. Baltimore, limiting them to three runs on just five hits in 7.2 innings.
Toronto lost with their ace Halladay on the mound yesterday, but look for the Jays to recover by tripping up the Birds here tonight.
