I'm not sure what I think about this one, this is one that can't be figured too well with stat analysis. I remember though, how when Ortiz was horrible, he was given chance after chance after chance, and every time he started, betting against him and the over was just like printing money. Not sure what to think about Weaver at this point.

Weaver was quoted in a radio interview back in late January saying his goal was going to be roughly a .500 pitcher going 12-12 this year.
My first thoughts were maybe I would be fading him every night he pitches thru the first 3 or 4 months. Then maybe back him around the 2nd or 3rd week of August when he pitches pretty decent in order to get a new contract.
What really gets me about that little comment he made was why in the hell would you say something like that at all. Especially when only on a 1 year contract this year. My guess would be he will go maybe 9-10, and get plenty of no decisions.Comment
