Tigers to tame Jays

Detroit has the home field advantage and the better starter on the mound. Take the Tigers this afternoon against the Toronto Blue Jays.
I'm playing the Detroit Tigers and Justin Verlander over the Toronto Blue Jays and Gustavo Chacin.
Toronto's starting rotation, other than Roy Halladay and AJ Burnett, leave a lot to be desired. Chacin goes today and the lefty relies on a cutter, but his best pitch is of average quality. Chacin also gives up way too many home runs.
Verlander counters. He ran into the rookie wall last year. But he sparkles at home with a 3.95 ERA in 16 starts. The Tigers also own the much better pen. Toronto will be involved in a lot of high-scoring games this season, coming up short like yesterday in most. They'll come up short again today. We'll back the Tigers on Thursday afternoon.
