If you still think the Pinny lean is strong, then the Padres are probably the play today. I just noticed that SD currently is -109 there.

Zito might have some trouble in the early going this year. He's added weight and is trying to get more "power" to his pitches. But that all might affect his control and curve and mechanics etc etc. We'll see.
Peavey, on the other hand, is coming off of a bad year due to persistent tendinitis, but he may well be completely recovered from that and return to his previous form. As a power pitcher, if that's the case, he'll be dominant right away.
And the Padres probably do have a better lineup. SF's age will be a problem at some point - their top 5 hitters are all 35 or over.
So I can see why there would be a lean towards the Padres in this game, although I'm not playing it at all.
