Grading A's at Mariners

The Athletics, playing on the road at Safeco Field, will get their season off to a 1-0 start this afternoon against the Seattle Mariners.
The A's have been much better in division games than the Mariners the past few years. Indeed, Oakland is a profitable 66-49 in division games the past three seasons while the Mariners are a money-burning 40-72. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the A's have dominated this series, going 29-8 (+21.9) the past three seasons, including a 14-4 mark here in Seattle.
During the same stretch, the A's have also been much better in "day" games. In fact, Oakland is 78-44 in afternoon games the past three seasons while Seattle is just 47-58. Oakland starter Dan Haren is 5-1 (A's are 6-1) in seven career starts vs. Seattle, recording an excellent 2.89 ERA and 1.168 WHIP. Consider a play on Oakland.
