I have been waiting all day for this Oakland game and got it very early this morning at +170
Oakland A's vs Milwaukee Brewers. Blackburn vs Teheran.
I saw quite a bit if not all of Blackburn's last outing. He was pitching well.
Over his last 3 games he has 9Ks/1HR while Teheran has 10Ks/2HR.
That last game Blackburn pitched was vs Miami and except for that one pitch to Garrett Cooper that he hit for a 3 run homer, it could have easily looked like the Atlanta game before where he went 4H 1ER 0HR 2BB 6Ks.
Despite his sparkling ERA/WHIP, Teheran is not missing bats.
His swinging strike rate of 5.7% is nearly the worst in the league.
His FIP/BABIP say he is about the same pitcher as Blackburn but he is basically getting hella lucky with a 90.9% left on base %.
The A's have heated up at the plate and are no longer the worst hitting team in the league.
I'm predicting they will continue playing .500 ball vs teams like Milwaukee who have terrible run differentials (-18) and are vulnerable to a team like the A's who basically have nothing to lose and are pulling out all the stops every day they play.
Bottom line. Do not play the Brewers today. Huge value on the A's yet again at +170.
There is a reason why this line opened at -214 and is now around -190.
Teheran is a ticking time bomb.
