Its pretty simple, just like Panekkk said, you bet enough on the Moneyline to cover your runline bet (in case your team just wins by 1).

Example using 5dimes lines:
HOU +145 +1.5 -142
FLA -155 -1.5 +132

Say you like Florida and you want to win $100.

You bet $66.81 to win $43.10 on the ML.
And bet $43.10 to win $56.90 on the RL.

By doing this, you've made your own -1 line of FLA -1 -110. (Your risking a total of $109.91 to win $100). If they win by only 1 its a push.

This is a real good way to lessen your risk when you especially like Favorites with the big chalk, as it reduces it by 45 cents on average.

Doing this is more favorable with favorites than doing it with the dog +1.5, but some still do it. With those 5dimes lines of -1.5 and -2.5 has me wanting to check into the math of this now

It's easier to figure out with decimal odds. I'm sure there's an online calculator somewhere major or a spreadsheet that'll do the calc for you in two seconds. Just google it.

That's where live betting comes in handy tho major. If you were worried you coulda laid heavy on the under 9.5 which woulda had huge + odds and you coulda generated even more profit probably.

You coulda laid down half of your winnings had the game gone over, on the under 9.5, if you had the option, and made some nice profit!

Pinnacle has it but on very few games and you really gotta be on the ball to ever hit it. It's only come in handy for me once but it can make you good money in the long-term. Not sure what other books have it but it's def something to keep in mind!
