Ripken and Gwynn elected to MLB Hall of Fame
Ripken led the voting with almost 99% of the votes. Gwynn finished with just over 97%

To nobodies surprise McGwire was not voted in.

The real sad news is Rich "Goose" Gossage was left out again. He finished with just over 71% of the votes. 75% is needed to get in. I sure hope the goose gets in next year.

Happy to see a couple of very deserving players enter the hallowed halls of Cooperstown.

Would love to hear the justification of those who don't think either Gwynn or Ripken deserved it and didn't vote for them.

They just interviewed the asshole a few minutes ago on espnews. He left the ballot blank because he doesn't have enough info about the steroids era. He also didn't feel Ripken deserved to be the first unamimus selection. (what the fvck kinda excuse is that) He blabbed on for five minutes about the subject and it made me sick. That guy needs to have his voting privledges revoked.

He's got a point there. Guys like Ruth, Mays, Clemente and a few others should've been the first to get 100% of the vote. But the BBWAA already screwed the pooch on that, so I guess this guy thinks the BBWAA should just keep fvckin' the same old dog

The BBWAA is a complete and utter joke.

Gossage should have been in there a long time ago IMO...This guys numbers are quite similar to Sutter and Fingers if you look at them.

They need to give out voters to more than just the sports writers nowadays. They really need to give votes to the broadcasters that cover the teams on a daily basis.
