    Friday Value Plays
    I went 0-2 -2.00 units yesterday.

Marlins +140: Marlins are better than the Diamondbacks in every category. Nolasco lately has been as dominant as anyone. Florida has a better bullpen, defense, offense, and is a .500 road team.

    That's all for now.

    Chicago White Sox +116
Last time these two teams met Minnesota won 20-1! That is not likely to happen again as the Sox will set the pace. Sox are playing their best lately, and Minnesota has been wearing out.

    Chicago Cubs -101
Big steam move on the Cubs, playing them on that note only.

I stayed away from Chi Sox because the Twins are a good home team. They just lost all three to the Yanks, which makes me think they are gonna come out and slug the Chi Sox.

Having the Cubs as a favorite at home is good. Carpenter is one of those guys on the do not touch starters list. Harden hasn't been too good and neither has the Cubs offense after getting shut down by the Braves. Carpenter pitches many innings and could easily shut down the slumping Cubbies.

It's risky to fade the Twins at home behind a resurgent Blackburn especially after being swept by the Yankees. I say twins are the call in that game.

          Fifawcs,

There's value in the Marlins pick - no doubt. But I have a feeling the Dbacks will win. These books have a way of posting these appealing dog lines (e.g., Texas +162 yesterday) and we all fall for them and get sucked in!
