Orioles are playing a team with injuries, Guthrie is a solid pitcher and their hitting has really picked up (guys' stances look really good with solid followthrough, spreading the ball across the field etc., numbers turning up, not vaccinated for RBIs anymore), also they have home advantage and the mets might be a little "done" after all that hoopla in the bronx. What has plagued the O's is a lack of driving home the runs when they've gotten on base and lately they've seemed to have gotten over this hump, bettors like to "call" a trend early and even though it's just two games (O's have only won two in a row) they want to "get on it" because it allows them to be a c t i v e, and not r e a c t i v e. When your betting becomes reactive (to last night, last week), well then it's over for you. I am not in acion on this game, but I can imagine people look at stuff like this. Also, the people on here are people who watch a lot of baseball, so many that are on the O's have prolly seen them lately and liked what they saw.
BOL.

Sabathia is overrated in my book. I would never play that -360
Its against the Nats, so this explains why its so high.

Sabathia's not a -360 pitcher but I do believe the hot Yankee bats have a lot to do with that.

why do you think sabbathia is overrrated? he is one of the true aces in the league who his team can count on to go the distance every time. he strikes guys out when needed in big situations, and has great control.
his k/bb is way off so far this year, but he started out awful last year as well and straightened out.

were you saying this at the end of last year when he was dominating baseball and being talked about for mvp? and you cant use the argument that he was great in the NL - the guy has already won a cy young in the al.
im not a yankee fan, and i actually bet the nats tonight cause of the value on the runline - but i think way too many of you just live in the now and dont look at the big picture.
sabbathia + the yankee bats + the nats does = to a -360 lino imo...
he may not be the hottest pitcher right now, but the books havent forgotten what hes really all about.

I know what he's capable of and i know he's not pitching as well as he could be right now. Im just saying the reason the line is inflated is due more to the fact that is the Nationals @ Yankee Stadium and not just because C.C. is on the mound. And since he's on the mound this helps raise it a little more. There is no way this line would be what it is if the matchup was Bos ( Beckett) @ Nyy ( Sabathia )

Errors and dumb pitching in that inning. O's have big bats. They'll be back.

It's because he has to run the ball to the plate, Dexter. Not like you can throw it or anything.
