I have bet on Florida in the first two games of the series and I will take them again tonight. They have a hot lead off hitter in Ramirez and catch the Brewers bullpen in disarray. West has pitched very well for Florida so far this year and will have plenty of run support with the way the marlins are hitting. Looper has given up 10 earned in his last three road games and 11 home runs on the year. The bullpen is trying to patch together some help but has been over used lately. The brewers are 6-20 in the last 26 meetings in Florida and lose again tonight.
Oakland / White Sox Over 8.5
This is a play that is derived from looking at the umpire. Jerry Crawford is notorious for his small strike zone and has averaged 11 runs a game. The White Sox have gone over in the last three games he has worked with them and the A’s have gone over two out of the last three. Overall the over is 4-2 in the last six games he has worked. The small strike zone will force the pitchers to put it over the plate. In a series that has been dominated by under games this one will go over the total.
KC / TB Over 9
My second total tonight is the over in Tampa Bay. This game had stranded base runners last night but tonight they will cash in on them. Niemann gets plenty of run support as the rays have given him an average of 8.0 in his last three starts and Brian Bannister has an ERA of 6.88 in his last three starts, that sets up for a deadly combination. KC has had bullpen problems too with the group posting an ERA over 7 and a WHIP over 2. Vanover is an over umpire that has been consistent over the years posting an O/U of 46/30 in his last three years. Over is 17-6-1 in Bannisters last 24 road starts and Over is 5-1 in Niemanns last 6 starts overall. Look for plenty of runs to be scored in this game!
