Hm yeah I figured. Millwood and Jackson have falsely low ERAs but 8.5 is a WTF total for a game involving Texas, let alone Texas and Detroit. Ultimately, their 4.52 xFIP and 4.28 xFIP, respectively, led me to the [sucker] over.

The contrarian radar takes a look at Texas. We are going to call this, "Texas can't win in Detroit game." 0-7 this and not too good over the last 3 seasons. The contrarians are watching the line movement closely to see where the squares lay their cheese. Texas is currenty the dog, with more ML% than Detroit, 51/49. As I am writing, I am thinking, forget the radar, let's get down on this one.

Marlins total has now creeped to 9. I got a real nice price last nite at 8.5 (over) so I'm on that too. They're going to have a football game down there today. I guess contrarian indicators are not present to go under. Yet.

We put up a total for the late night selection. The world will be pounding the over. Most often we would be solidly contrarian on the under but our good buddy Gary Cederstrom is behind the plate who statistically might appear to be an under ump, but don't be fooled. Gary has an extremely tight strike zone which will have the over jumpers dancing with the stars.
