I hear a lot of people talking about how well the Dodgers hit Max Scherzer based on game 1. What I am having a hard time with actually finding any facts to back up that data. Yes Scherzer gave up an uncharacteristic 4ER in game 1 and didn't make it passed the 6th but to say the Dodgers lineup hits him well is misleading. With the exception of Reddick who has faced him many times and been successful, all of the guys who faced him prior to game 1 have terrible numbers against him. Sure Seager and Turner hit him well in their first game against him but you can not expect the same production the second time around where I think Scherzer will be much more locked in.
Not going to get into the Nationals numbers, many haven't faced Hill other than game 1 but the few that have, have good numbers against him. I think he'll have a short leash tonight.
Don't call me a homer because I don't leave anywhere near DC, I am just pointing out what some of you are too lazy to research. Daniel Murphy the best hitter on the field, Not to mention Rich Hill is 0-2 with a 8.59 ERA in the playoffs, I will take the Nationals at where it currently sits at a bargain price of -135. Good Luck!
