Just off the surface I would say Houston. With Clemens being the UD, its always a good value.

I'd say that's a big value play for Clemens on the ML. I thought the odds would be shorter for him.

Any team that rebounds from a 15-30 start all the way to dominating the best team in baseball, the St. Louis baseball Cardnials, to get into the series has to get the team of destiny nod.

The Sox are the better overall team but the Stros do have great starters.. I'd say its a coin flip.

There's no way either team sweeps the Series. Too much good pitching (starting & bullpen) on both sides. Look at the probable matchups:

Clemens/Contreras
Pettitte/Buehrle
Oswalt/Garland

Like I said, first team to 3 runs in each game wins!

No they're not official. The only official matchups is Game 1. I'm assuming what they will be. Wouldn't surprise me to see both teams go with a 3 man rotation with all the rest they're going to have (from now till Saturday and then the travel days between cities.) Backe and Garcia could be the odd ones out if this is the case.

ESPN Postseason Predictions (Made Oct. 3)

Gammons, Stark, Neyer, Caple, Klapisch, and McAdam all had the Astros winning the Series.

Nobody had the White Sox winning the Series and only Caple had the Sox getting to the Series. This shouldn't be suprising because of the East Coast bias that ESPN has when it comes to the American League. As far as they're concerned, the American League is comprised only of the Yankees and Red Sox.

I don't think these guys are all knowing gods, but its nice to see what they think considering that they follow baseball for a living.
