Ratings disaster shaping up for FOX
Just what the FOX management wanted a World Series between CHW and Houston. The only other worse possible matchup would have been between LAA/SD or CHW/SD.

Not exactly public teams but people like Houston. They are probably hoping it goes the distance. You are right though, nothing like if the yanks or other Sox made it.

Ya. Not mainstream teams. But should be a good pitching series if Houston makes it in.

Get ready for a 7-game series with a total of 25 runs if the Astros don't lose three in a row. I'm actually looking forward to it.

Right, but thats what used to be a good about sports. Baseball purists appreciate things like pinpoint pitching and fielding a ground ball after a bad bounce. Too much "mainstream" ruined the NBA

Chicago is a huge market (even if it's not the Cubs) You are way off base here.

Illusion, I think he meant more because of the teams' style of play than the markets they play in. On a side note, I've never really understood why so many more people like the Cubs than the White Sox. Please shed some light on that.

Wrigley Field is located in Chicago's largest homosexual community (fact, no bs) Wrigley is home of the worlds largest gay bar. If you arrive to the ballpark early you can piss in a huge troff. Get there extra early and you can melt the ice in it. Cubs fans are brain dead friutcakes who do not work (that's why they sellout all of those day games). They actually think they can win, but they never will.

To put it shortly, Cubs fans hate us and we hate them.

Thanks Illusion, when people talk about Wrigley & the Cubs it will just never be the same after that.

Yep.. The Yanks and St. Louis both have huge a following. I hope the (diss)Astros can get in. I'm glad the giant payroll teams are home watching on TV like the rest of us.

It has to be brought up regarding the fans in Chicago...I think CHI is more of a Cubs town too, because of where the Sox play and economic class of the surrounding community - they are smack dab in the heart of the ghetto. I went to my first game at Comiskey Park back in 1990 or so, and still distinctly remembering walking back from the ballpark to my parents' car at the time and thinking I was going to get jacked...depending on where you park, you have to go through some of those neighborhoods to get to your vehicle (unless that has changed).

They are my favorite team, so I will take that risk to see them if the opportunity presents, but I can see why people would not want to go to that side of town. They better sellout for the Series though!

I still don't understand why they had two games going at once this week, they should do a double header for more ratings...just my opinion...

It will not be a disaster. Houston with some ex Yanks are fairly popular now and CWS have a big market. It will be ok.
