Rumors have him playing for either the Cubs or White Sox next season. Stay tuned, the rumor mill is now heating up.

How much of that contract would the yankees have to eat if that rumor actually came true is the real question? Personally, I don't see him being traded at all myself though.

I hope the White Sox get him, that would ruin their chances at another championship for quite sometime.

I sure as hell do not want him. Talk is Crede and a starter for A-Rod.

As much as I dislike Ozzie, he could be a good manager to abuse AROD into shape. I dont think Ozzie would take AROD's crappy play.

I would venture to guess that if you read the New York Daily News, Alex Rodriguez will eventually be going to all 29 of the other clubs.

                  I think Willie nailed it...
                  Its a bunch of rumors...
                  A rod aint going anywhere...
And I dont buy this: "I hope my team doesnt sign him BS"
Its Bull, 99% of us would love A rod to play for our team...
He had an "off" year, if you can call 290, 35, 121 an off year...
And he's had his problems in the clutch and in third base...
                  so what??
Did any see Albert Pujols running the bases yesterdady???
Or the very "clutchy" 0-3 he managed...
I'd love it if A-rod came to Atlanta...
Hell, we'll give you Willie Aybar and Kyle Davies for him...
                  Maybe throw in Chuck James...
Dont want A-rod... what a bunch of BS!!

I guess I'm in the 1% then. I would be sick to my stomach if the Giants acquired him. You know what matters in baseball? The playoffs and E-rod is a ghost during that time, rendering him completely useless during the most crucial and important time of the year. He is a living curse.

Understand what you're saying, Owned. I'm not an A-Rod fan and would hate to see him come to Houston since it would probably cost the Astros a top flight pitcher (Oswalt?) and a top flight hitter (Berkman?). The attention paid to him by the media has got to be an incredible distraction to the entire team.

But at the same time, my opinion is what matters most in baseball is just getting to the playoffs. Granted, once there you want to go all the way. But you can't go all the way if you never reach the postseason to begin with, and a guy who, in an off year, will bat .290 with 30+ HR and 100+ RBI is exactly the kind of stick that will help get you to October.

The Mariner's are the best fit for A-Rod. They loved him there and would welcome him back. A-Rod could put up great numbers playing for a team in last place in meaningless games.

Hey Willie and Bulldog, I think the first post stated this as "rumors". Relax, its a discussion.

People like to speculate on things like this. AROD to the Astros....that would be great Willie.

Relax?! Are you frickin' kidding me?! This is A-Rod we're dissin' and cussin'

I'd be more than happy to see Rodriguez in Houston's infield next year, but only if it means we also get to keep Roy O and Lance.

You're right looker... I might have gotten just a bit carried away in my 1st post... point taken...
I just think that A-rod is one of the best bb players ever and I feel that he doesnt get enough credit for some things...
Of course he gets enough money, maybe more than enough, maybe more than he "deserves" but he's a great player nevertheless...
I remember this year when he kept an inning alive by switching hands in middle of his slide and avoiding a tag on
                              2nd base.
I think he'll rebound bigtime next year...
too bad he's gonna still be playing in NY

I know it Bulldog. He is a good player. But I think what gets to everyone is how much money he makes, and how he chokes in big clutch situations. You would think with that kind of money he is getting, he wouldnt choke on a regular basis. Plus it seems he just blows it off like there is nothing wrong.

Things like that get to the fans.

He should get a payroll deduction everytime he dont come through in the clutch. Every strikeout with runners in scoring position, minus $10,000 (or more) out of your paycheck. Then maybe he will work on pressure situations.
